Overall, I'm Quite Satisfied With My Audi A3 2.0t
Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my Audi A3 2.0T FSI Sport DSG 3dr car, although there are a few niggles. The hard ride is one (but that's the price you pay for a performance car) and the gearbox interlock and power takeup delay is another. I find the requirement to press the footbrake before you can shift the gearbox from the neutral to the drive position annoying. It's annoying because the DSG gearbox has a delay of roughly 0.5 to 1.0 second from the time you select the drive position to the time you can press the accelerator. So at the traffic lights you have two options: either leave the gearbox in `drive' and keep your foot on the brake (to stop the car moving forward), or shift into `neutral' until the traffic lights change, then put your foot on the brake, select `drive', wait one second and then press the accelerator. If you don't wait the one second but press the accelerator straight away, you'll get all the power delivered instantly after a half second delay and you will swear blind that someone has run into the back of you! In the first case, I hate having to keep my foot on the brake for the duration of the red lights, and in the second case, I hate not being able to set off as soon as the lights go green. But the performance you get out of the engine and gearbox makes these annoyances worth putting up with.
