Rover 800 825si

I a extremely happy with my car, i would put the ride and comfort up there with a jag. i got mine at a steal for 400 quid ad for that i get Cd inter changer, all working electrics including sunroof (although driver side window don't work, that's it) air con lets just say its a lot of car for the money. And you do do feel very special driving around in that car. unfortunately i am having to sell it as i am moving abroad. believe me if i could take it with me i would out of all the cars i have owned or driven the rover 800 is my favorite bar none

This is my 4th Rover 800 .The relability is quiet good no wonder I have been driving Rovers Since 1996.Very flexible for different uses especially for carrying those bulky DIY stuff from B&Q Etc.

If Its Very Cheap It's A Good Choice But I Mean Ve

If its very cheap it's a good choice but I mean very cheap but still well serviced and low mileage. Gearboxes aren't bad, change gear very well in automatic (though Autos are slightly weak). Had a manual too which seemed indestructable!! Don't ever floor it because if you do this more than once you risk bursting the head - very very weak design. Why Rover used this engine when they had access to the 3.5 Buick V8 put in the SD1, the Range Rover, TVR 350 etc I'll never know. It's fine for gentle driving like pottering to the shops or an easy 60MPH drive to the next town but although it'll do 140MPH likely as not you'll be putting a new head on after that!!! Keep it cheap and don't keep it long and it's a good car. Handles well and pulls well but if you keep it a while it'll give you serious problems
