Mercedes Benz C-Class C63 AMG

The standard C63 is very, very fast but with the latest Performance Package power is boosted by nearly 10% to 487bhp which frankly transforms the experience.

While it is quite easy to spec a C63 to over £60k it doesn't come cheap (and it won't be to run) but as a performance car this is phenomenal. Aggressive styling, a beautifully balanced and taught chassis, rocketship acceleration and oh what a noise! The only criticism is that it is hard to keep the revs down as the exhaust note is just so addictive.

However, put the gearbox into comfort and drive it gently and the car can also prove to be a refined and comfortable cruiser.

The interior is very similar to the standard C apart from the seats, which are trimmed in Nappa Leather and fantastically supportive, and the AMG steering wheel. Plenty of space and a decent sized boot make the car nearly as practical as it is mental!
