Good points;
The look is understated which for me is good as it can be parked anywhere without attracting the wrong sort of attention. Even when driving people around are unaware of what it is yet alone what it can do.
I had the 3.2 V6 auto Signum previous to this and after a test drive I paid a deposit straight away. The power delivery is effortless, the 6 speed auto box a dream and the handling for a big car is very good.
The equipment includes bluetooth, satnav, climate, electrics, cruise that would cost a fair bit extra on most cars. The seats are good and provide better support than the older 3.2 model.
Performance is very good and it can hold its own against alot of 'sportier' family cars, but I can carry 4 sets of golf clubs in the back and the passengers still ride in comfort. Leg room for driver and passengers is fantastic - I'm 6'2" and never have to adjust the seat if an adult is sitting behind.
Insurance is low for a car with this performance and servicing costs aren't too bad either. Also on a long run 40mpg is possible.
Bad points;
Thirsty - I get around 25mpg but mostly travelling around the doors.
Tax is high @ £400.
When changing the gears manually it doesn't react quick enough for me.
Middle rear seat is a joke - don't have more than 3 passengers or someone will get the hump.
People think it's an Astra.
Trying hard but that's about it, nothing too bad at all.
If you need a family estate car but still want performance to put a smile on your face then this car will do all that and more. I looked for ages for something suitable but not the run of the mill stuff and found a gem.
Should you get the chance to try one of these cars with this 2.8 turbo engine you will find it hard to beat it as an alround performer unless your spending big money on an S4 audi or turbo charged BMW.
Hope this was useful to you. By the way, you can get these cars chipped too (check out Superchips website).

The Vauxghall Signum is a very under rated car. This is a very quick car but the insurance is very sensible. It is incredibly practical with the seat arrangements. I am also able to get about 29 mpg if I drive sensibly and with around 250bhp that ' s pretty good I reckon!
We love this car and both have had high performance cars before, and are still quite happy with this.
