Good Points About This Car Are That Its Practical,
Good points about this car are that its practical, i can fit two prams in and some golf clubs. It is also cheap to run and repair i had a service and new cambelt and it all came to just over 200 quid. Fuel economy is quite good on motorways but town runs will drain it a bit.
Build quality is average but my car is over 8 years old and has done over 75,000 miles and the only thats gone is remote locking.
Performance wise i cant really think of a normally aspirated 1.8 thats as quick as this, that being said it is not very quick or fast and i think that could be down to the lack of torque, want to beat saxos or 106's then its great, want to beat skoda vrs, clio sports or fiesta st's then forget it

The Vauxhall Astra 1.8 16v Sport Is Easily The Bes
The Vauxhall Astra 1.8 16v Sport is easily the best car I've owned, capable of withstanding a good thrashing when required, and of good mpg when driven properly. Numerous trips to the tip and holidays to the West Country without drama.
The "bad points" in my review are possibly only to do with mine; if you find a good one, they're well worth having.
I really want another, but the wife doesn't like it......
