My Toyota Avensis Estate 2.0 is a tourer model. These are good cars. Soild, and well built. Spacious and nice to drive. A major service and MOT was 250 quid.. Cheap I thought at a main Toyota dealer. The clutch did fail however but was done by Toyota immediately under warranty.
I own a Toyota Avensis 2.0 D4D estate 2004. I have had the car 3 yrs and its been perfect in every way very reliable I have a full service every 12 months and a oil & filter change done in between every 6 months. The car has now covered 94k. I have recently had the dual mass flywheel replaced for a solid flywheel (conversion kit) complete with new clutch pressure plate & release bearing (LUK parts fitted LUK taken out) cost £550.00 parts & labour. This was due to DMF wear which was causing vehicle judder while driving in low gears 1500/2000rpm you can expect to have to change flywheel between 80/100k No difference to drive of vehicle having SMF fitted wouldn't know the difference and as a result no more DMF problems to be had.
one thing not said about this car is how well does it cope with poor british roads, mainly town roads potholes and poor surfaces etc. does it ride well ore to firm.
