Value For Money

In Summary: Performance, Economy, Space And Comfor

In summary: Performance, economy, space and comfort in one package!

Ok, I have given my car 5 out of 5 for Value for Money, there's two ways to look at that. its not cheap to service or purchase, however compare this with any other vehicle with this amount of performance, space, comfort and economy, it is very very good value for money.

I now only need 1 vehicle, when i used always have 2 or more plus a trailer.

Why only 1 vehicle? I used to owner performance petrol cars to do track days etc in, Now the 535D does them so well, its a strange site to see a large diesel Estate on track! shocks a few persons at first

I also need a car for everyday use with good economy to do over 30mpg. well i get upto 44.8mpg on long runs, usually 23 to 28 around town. Even on track its acceptable.

Now no need for the trailer as this is the estate and the boot is a good size, for all those large purchases or rubbish dump trips, carrying track day tyres etc...

A downside to that is the Cream Leather, so a boot liner is a must as well as seat covers.

Lovely drive, at 46 i've gotten a bit lazy with my driving, or is it old! who knows, anyway i no longer drive about like a loon in a rush. Now its a sedate pace, knowing when the need arises, i have ample torque under the bonnet to get out of trouble some situations well before they happen.

Not very good in the snow or wet, Traction control is on virtually all the time. its just to powerful an engine. treat it with the greatest of respect in slippy conditions please!

some say the idrive is awkward, it can be, but you do get used to it.

Tyre cost can be alot with the runflats, but i dont use them now, i have a spare wheel and jack.

the warnings on the dash are good but, make you panic that there is a costly repair due, well i would recommend using internet forums for advice, you bet the problem has arisen for someone else and a solution or fix is there.

get one if your a petrol head, like me, 12months on and still have a buzz with it!
