Had a Mark 1 Sirocco Storm as a company car (shame your photo is of a Mark 2) in the metallic green / black leather interior. Truly great car to drive, very quick but very forgiving... Must remain one of the real classic shapes ever, despite it's high engine inherited from the Golf. Even the front spoiler looked perfect! Mine had a pull-out glass roof (useless) electric windows (added, and slow) and foglights. Only problems were clutch cable pulling through the bulkhead and losing a valve follower one morning. Started to show signs of tin-worm in the doors even after three years. However, has to be one of the few cars I really remember.

I Had A Mk2 Vw Scirocco Scala For 4 Years, They Dr
I had a MK2 VW Scirocco Scala for 4 years, they drive so well, good choice of engines 1.3L 1.6L basic (1.8L GT2 & scarla) & the big ones 1.8L 16V GTS & 1.8L storm, can get loads of tuning bits for all the Sciroccos, driving possission is really good yeah they are a real grand tourer.
Scirocco mk1 are good but are getting quite rare now, the mk2 is a better ride & i feel they look better.

Gotta Admit I Love My Volkswagen Scirocco Storm Mk
Gotta admit i love my Volkswagen Scirocco Storm Mk1 its a 1979 model
in Noisette brown, Tan leather with the above spec (good and bad) for a car over 20 years old i think it was very highly spec'd, the car to drive is absolutley amazing and the for cornering is excellent, i can hammer the car into corners put my foot down spin the wheels and point and it will still go exactly where i want it to, but for £275 english sterling who am i argue...and where would i get a better spec'd car..
Being lower (in ride height) than its sister the mk1 golf gti, i fell the drivabilty a lot better (Having owned 3 mk1's beforehand) and also the scirocco came out 4 months before the golf too and has a much more refined driving position..although anything bigger than a 8 year old child in the rear is abit of a challange

Anyone else have anything either good or bad to say about the rocco...
