Nice Little Motor
Had this motor since March 13 and have been very happy with it in the 10000 miles it has covered. Feels solid, in sport mode or when I use the DSG box, it will zoom away from the lights quicker than any normal saloon type car, even managed to keep up with a fiesta ST from the lights , he was a young wiz kid, I'm 62, I could see he wasn't happy lol. Anyway, this car is very frugal when used at normal road speeds it performs perfectly, and if you put it into sport mode, it becomes a mini beast. Unfortunately on today's roads there isn't much opportunity to test it to its full capabilities but it's there if you need it. As you would expect, the suspension is a bit harder, which is fine on the motorways but you feel the bumps on the local roads. For what it is ,it's a lovely little motor and pleasurable to drive, the down side is the initial cost, and the residual cost is quite steep for a Vw. When I went to ask for a trade in value, the car was 18 months old With 6500 miles on it from new, and they only offered 12000 pounds which was a big loss on new, maybe they punish you cos it's a sporty little number. If I had My time again, I would go for a second hand one. All in all I would recommend this car so far, although it's still in its I fancy so don't know how long before any faults start to appear.
