Love It! People Watch Me Pack It Up In The Superma

Love it! People watch me pack it up in the supermarket as it seems to absorb luggage and shopping. Have never had a shortage of space and because of the remvable roof find it more practical than any other car to move large itemslike a Christmas tree...weather permitting.

Also excellent after sales service from local dealership who keep in regular contact, check that I'm happy when its been serviced and always make a nice cup of coffee when it is serviced.

If you're not a 'petrol head' this is a thoroughly enjoyable car to own....and perhaps even if you are.

Only Had It For A Few Weeks, Bought As A Replacem

Only had it for a few weeks, bought as a replacement for a Merc SL. I have not stopped smiling, it's great fun, and I'm saving the planet as well.

Great Cars. We Bought 2 - Mickey And Minnie - For

Great cars. We bought 2 - Mickey and Minnie - for business use. Just the two of us at most, if we need to carry any large or bulky kit we use our 'proper' cars. Mickey is an 84 bhp turbo Passion Cab in black with a silver cage, Minnie is a 71 bhp Passion Cab in all black. The original dealer loused up our order so we couldn't have the accessories we wanted, and we couldn't get the vehicles we wanted when we wanted them, so these two are short-term before trading in. But we will be getting the ones we want, and the 3rd Smart - Donald - is on order now, fully spec'd as we want it. This is going to replace Minnie which my son will take over when he joins the business in March. Space inside the passenger compartment is a bit limited, the door pockets and space on the dash are restricted but there could have been an armrest, and some more space under the seats - you can't alter the height and rake of the seats which is ridiculous. If Mercedes just allocated the factory manufacture more sensibly, priced them better, made more of them, and operated sensibly in the after market and custom-market they would sell 2 or 3 times more than they do! Despite all this, I rate the Smart 42 at 10/10 all round - it is absolutely fantastic.

This Sweet Admirable Smart Fortwo Passion Cabrio (

This sweet admirable Smart Fortwo Passion Cabrio (named b be) has been with us for 2 yrs - NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS!!! Apart from just after our recent £350 bill for a Merc service. The mechanism on the soft-top spewed out whilst I tried to manhandle it back to close, this was a Saturday afternoon, thankfully the service was TOP-NOTCH, the local Exeter garage took it in that afternoon and it was sorted pronto, without extra charges! Bravo Mercedes!

It's the PERFECT commute, I worked out 10p per mile fuel cost - considering my tax is £75 for the year I'm chuffed. Average mpg (as you'd expect for a 700cc motor) is around 40-50. The turbo is a fun and very shrewd addition to the design of the 3 cyl engine. Surprising how much you can fit in it. I have had many people (mostly 'mature' types) come and ask me if it's electric! HAHA. If you're even slightly curious about this car - PLEASE take for a test-drive as they're great fun, don't judge a plastic car by it's wrapper!! BTW we bought from dealership sale as an ex-demo with 1300 clocked miles for £7.5K - £3K less than normal price.

The Smart Is Smart In More Ways Than One. The Car

The Smart is smart in more ways than one. The car is like a tin of beans..it does everything you ask of it. It's safe, comfortable, very economical and has a low insurance grouping, the car is an excellent second car; but due to its capabilities not only in and around town, it often gets used for longer hauls by members of the family. Everywhere you go someone smiles at you or has to come over and speak to you about it, a sort of modern day VW beetle or Citroen 2CV6.

To summarise the car is excellent, environmentally friendly, fun to drive, safe, economical relatively cheap to buy and looks different but still has good build quality far outwaying anything else in its class.

I Agree With Everything Said So Far About The Mcc

I agree with everything said so far about the MCC Smart Car. I bought my Smart (Katie) in OCT 2003 and since then have had loads of miles of fun. Yes people do wave from other Smarts. Quite often my wife and I pack up the Smart and go camping, there are some car parks in London and a couple of other places who offer discounts for Smart drivers as it is only 2.5m long.

The city of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada has given all Hybrid and the SMART cars a free parking pass until the end of 2006. More cities should do the same as an incentive to purchase fuel friendly cars.

Had The Mcc Smart Cdi City Car For Over 2 Years An

Had the MCC Smart CDi City Car for over 2 years and it never fails to bring a smile to our faces.

Where else can you get a nippy 800cc turbo diesel that they have to put a speed limiter on to stop you doing speeds in excess of 100mph.

We regularly cover long distances in it and the seats are more than adequate, it does 100 mpg, and has oodles of luggage space. Don't be fooled by the diminuitive size of this car, it's like Dr Whos Tardis, small outside, huge inside.

Get the auto / tiptronic versions as you can give posers in bigger machinery a surprise when they try to bully you on the road, just down shift and floor the throttle and watch them pick their jaw off the floor while they disappear in your mirror.

OK, it's a 2 seater, but so is a Mazda MX5, but it's got more luggage space, and it's a darned sight cheaper to run.

Stop reading this and go and get one!!!
