I Have A R100 With Full Gti Kit As I Don't Like Th
I have a R100 with full GTI kit as I don't like the R100 look ( granny mobile)
the GTI proper boys car :)
Well, my car started life as a 1.1 and has had a full 1.8 mgf vvc engine conversion.
All I can say is .. ITS FAST.. with the 1.8 transplant, this little Metro can beat and keep up with most high performance car around easily
Iv'e raced Honda type-R's, Seat Cupra turbo's also Astra GSI's and beat them very easy
The power & amp; ratio is fantastic with over 200bhp per ton and the little GTI is less than a ton :)
You won't find a car that can beat most powerful cars on the road for less than a grand. I'm very pleased with the car and would rather have a retro pocket rocket than most new cars on the road today. the Metro GTI is starting to become in the same league as the Mk1/2 Escorts ,so i'm very happy that I own one :)

I Am Now On My 8th Model Of The Rover Metro Family
I am now on my 8th model of the Rover Metro Family Car.
I started with a 1.1c and now have two 1.8 metros, one with the vvc engine running approx 160bhp.
I love these little cars, out of all 8 the biggest headache I had was having to replace a radiator and thermostat.
I have only had one break down and that was fixed by a quick trip to the scrap yard for fuel solenoid.
The gtis handle so well and even better once lowered.
I have gone back to the metros after having a 230bhp plus Nissan 200sx as the sx was no fun compared to the metros.
I agree with this review because I have got 1 too!! :)
i have a metro gti with a 1.8 vvc engine an its pushin out about 190bhp. its the best an most fun car i have ever drove in my life and it will leave a audi tt 3.2 quattro all day long. great review because off you i brought one.

How To Scare People: Get An Austin Metro,
how to scare people:
Get an austin metro,
put a 2" s.u carb on it,
get an exhaust system with a 5" tailpipe
put kent cams in
lighten the flywheel
add a k&n
take all the seats but one out
get it dynoed at 104bhp
blow away a bmw 316
or a saxo vtr
or a corsa sport.
Absolutely fantastic car, mini like handling, light and quick and with standard bodywork everyone thinks its not very good. so when I rev it up they race me and get left. Very reliable, mines only done 22k from new (genuine)so it runs great and no rust. People take the mickey till they see me go. 1/4 in 16.2 sec. not bad for a 1275.
Is this a review of a real car or just some far fetched fantasy? Not really a very useful review!
