Want!

I don’t own one but recently had one for a week as a hire car, loved it. Nice looking vehicle, smooth ride, comfortable even though its small, good value on petrol. I am pretty sure one of these will be my next car. Only bugbears are little things such as you can’t move the passenger side mirror or open their window from the driver side, but those are just little inconveniences not deal breakers. Go buy me one!

Long Gears, Sounds Like A Porsche And Fab Efficiency!

I've had 3 107's. I've had a 2006, 2009, and now have a 2012 one. Love these cars i love seeing peoples reactions when you put your foot down in these as they are very nippy on acceleration. Gears are very long in them. They will easily do 65+mph in second the new one i have the 2012 the gears are even longer than the older models!!! Efficiency is fantabbydastic. Motorway driving you can probably be expecting figures in the early 60's mpg. Around town expect figures is the mid 50's mpg. Handling is average as they tend to under steer a lot so be careful going round wet roundabouts etc! The engine itself is a Toyota engine so it is very reliable. It's very quiet and the ride itself is pretty smooth for a small light weight car. The engine itself sounds fantastic after you get it past 4,500 rpm then it begins to sound very tinny and almost like a porsche believe it or not! The 5 door version is fantastic that’s what i've had for the past 6 years. Love seeing people trying to get in the front then telling them it's a 5 door it always catches them out!. So if you want a nippy little car which wants to be a porsche with brilliant efficiency and funky looks i'de advise you on the Peugeot 107!.

I Would Say Better For Motorway Commuting Than City. But Both Still Good

I have owned a peugeot 206, bwm 3 series 99 plate and a nissan micra.

But this is the best car I have ever had.

The only downpoints are:

quite loud cabin noise on motorwar driving

Not a babe Catcher

I am male. 6 foot 5 and fit perfectly in this car.

I bought this as i would be comuting to birmingham from notting 3 times a week.

My beamer would not be a friend to my wallet.

i was sick of paying the tax man 70p for every litre of petrol and sick of the high maintance and insurance costs.

Basically when I added it all up a Car can eat at least 25% of your total income.

So i bought the 107 second hand while it was 1 year old.

I have never had a problem with this car machanically.

I have accuratly messured my MPG. If I drive at 65mph on motorway I can get just over 70mpg

The insurance is group 1. and the parts are cheap.

I buy steel wheels off ebay that people sell cus they are even cheaper.

Ive done 98,000 miles on the car now > 90% motorway

Ive never has to replace clutch or brakes. but both are close now.

BOTTOM LINE

If you want a car to get you from A to B

Dont want to spend 25%of your earnings on a car

and dont care what it looks like because you dont use your car as an icon of status and wealth.

Then this car is the bees knees.

I am saving £3500 a year using this over the nissan micra 06 plate I had.

Just Changed My Trusty Old Nissan Almera Gx Becaus

Just changed my trusty old Nissan Almera GX because I had had it from new for 8 years and it had never let me down until 2 weeks ago when the battery gave up (now that's not bad after 8 years!) BUT I am 65 and thought it was time that I had a smaller more economical vehicle.

Did a lot of Internet research and asked around and saw exactly what I wanted at a local garage - Peugeot 107 Urban- I opted for FIVE doors as I do not like the very large doors on the 3 door model of any car.

It is a very good car for its size, very nippy and accelerates a lot faster that I thought it would. It is very roomy, in fact surprisingly so and the boot is adequate for my needs - able to carry about 6 large bags of shopping; there is also PLENTY of LEG ROOM for the rear passengers. It is rather noisy after the larger Nissan but not unbearably so.

There is central locking which also locks and unlocks the boot which is manually opened from the rear.

Upholstery and carpeting is pretty good, kind of a plush grey velvety type with grey PVC trimming. The radio and CD player is good, better than I expected in the size of the car.

All around visibility IS rather compomised by the UNadjustable headrest of the front passenger seat so you have to lean a little when reversing but otherwise it's OK.

The one real annoyance for me is that there is no REAL glove compartment - it is open so there is nowhere that you can put things out of sight . Things can be put under the front seats BUT only from the rear.

However this is really a minor point and is outweighed by the fact that it does 65 mpg and the Road Tax is only £35 per annum instead of the £120 I paid for the Nissan. It also fits into much smaller spaces than the Nissan and is much easier to manoeuvre.

The Insurance is also low because of the size

Cheap, Nippy And Fun To Drive. Its Also The Best L

Cheap, nippy and fun to drive. Its also the best looking of the 3 other manufactures efforts (C1, Aygo).

If you just want a car that gets yoy around and is easy to drive with no luxuries... this is the car for you. its ideal for young drivers or as a second car.
