I recently acquired 2009 KIA Sportage 2.0 CRDI car (auto). It uses a D4EA engine. I am averaging 7.4km/l to 8.14 km/l under highly regulated driving (max 80km/h, soft take of, no racing, slow driving, etc). This works to about 33.3km/g (20.8mpg) to 36.5kg/g or 22.8mpg.(A Bentley V8 diesel SUV could do better, isn't it). I think this is atrociously excessive.
Please has anyone any info regarding fuel consumption of the 2008-2010 MY 2000cc CRDI Kia Sportage.
What should I do to address this overly excessive consumption?
How does one identify the different types of diesel engines, i.e, the 112/113 hp,125 hp, 140hp and 150 hp from the VIN or engine number or by any means of D4EA engine family?
