Having Owned 4x4 For Many Years, our Honda Crv 2.2
having owned 4x4 for many years, our honda crv 2.2 diesel
has been a verry sound vehicle indeed, completely realiable
and verry economical we have been caravan club members
for 30 yrs and have towed with a number of vehicles, the 4x4
we owned before this was a toyota rav 4 diesel what a vehicle
that was ,full marks except for the rear door, a pain as you have towalk aroundit to load up also when hitched up to the caravan the bottom of the door would rub hitch handle of the van,so we changed to the honda and have no regrets a super vehicle.

Had My Honda Cr-v 2.2 I-ctdi For 2 Years And Now D
Had my Honda CR-V 2.2 i-CTDi for 2 years and now done 24k miles. Reliable, flexible and robust car. Road holding to rival a previously owned BMW 5 series. First recent experiences in snow showed it to adapt its 4WD very well to the conditions, although it's just as twitchy a 2WD on black ice. Good on wet grass and towing trailers but it's not as off road solid as a Land Rover, but much more refined. A super soft roader which drives like a BMW. looks like a Lexus and is economical. I like it.

I Liked The Look Of The Car I Was Also Advised To
I liked the look of the car I was also advised to buy a Honda as usually no problems with them. My clutch was always squeaky the dealership I phoned just said to lubricate then with no real prior warning I did think that it was getting starved of fuel the clutch broke. Dealer says should be under warranty keep hired car then phone to say it was not covered. The cost of £140.00 for the hired car and estimated £450.00 for the clutch replacement for a car under 10 months and under 10,000 miles on the clock is really ridiculous. MY last 2 cars Where Citroens 60,000 between them and the only time the car was in the garage was for its service and I never replace any parts on any of the cars.
Honda say it ' s my fault as there is nothing in the text books on this. They where no help what so ever. The AA Lad that picked me up says his brother was the same after 8000 miles but Honda say driver error in 20 years I have never replaced a clutch its only when driving a Honda. Please if your clutch squeaks get it sorted don ' t lubricate it get Honda to sort. It one of my colleagues thinks maybe it was slightly jammed as the pedal did not always retract properly so be careful. I would never advise anyone to buy a Honda with the hassle and cost. My wife has a Suzuki and her break pads where replace under warranty now my feeling some people are harder on their breaks than others but Suzuki did not say to her driver error. I think that ' s the part that annoys me more as I know it was not my fault. Honda gave £110.00 off the price of the clutch.

Have Held Back Until Now On Writing A Review In Th
Have held back until now on writing a review in the blind hope that the dealers would sort out the car. They have not.5 Main problems with the car.SAT NAV - complete and utter rubbish, and have photos to prove. Nonsensical routing decisions, and even situations where the car can find a destination, but not its way home. Honda verdict - It isn't going to get any betterAuto Wipers - Don't work consistently - if the screen is saturated with water they do not come on, but they do come on frequently with a bone dry screenAuto Headlights - Same inconsistency as above. Don't come on when light levels drop, but will flash on and off in broad daylight if you drive under a small shadow. Honda verdict - All Honda's do thisPowerfold Mirror - Passenger mirror will randomly try and fold out when it is already in out position. Have had 4 now. Honda verdict - Honda technical unable to provide fix.Creaking clutch pedal - Sounds like a 25 year old Austin Allegro when driving. 5 months in, Honda still unable to fix.I have been without the car for a sum total of around 5 months while various dealerships, under the instruction of Honda UK, have tried to fix. After all of this time Honda now seem only prepared to look again at the wipers which are deemed to be unsafe, and have yet another go at fixing the clutch pedal. All the rest they say are not "real" problems, but just how the Honda features work.Steer well clear ... You have been warned.UTTER RUBBISH.

I Have Owned My Crv Since November, And Am Very Pl
I have owned my CRV since November, and am very pleased with it so far. The gearbox, while not as smooth as my previous car, a Toyota Verso, is certainly in keeping with its overall package as a 4x4. On my first long trip, to the South of France for Christmas, both my wife and myself felt the refinement on the motorways was excellent. On a recent trip from the south coast to London, driving fairly gently I achieved 52mpg, which for a car of this size is great. Normal driving I obtain approx 41 - 42 mpg. The on board computer is very accurate whereas previous cars I have owned are very optimistic. I test drove the RAV when I was deciding which car to buy, and felt the CRV was head and shoulders above it for everyday driving. I was a little disappointed with the engine at first, just at idle and pulling away, but as the miles are increasing either I'm getting used to it or it is getting smoother.
I don't intend going off road, but like the higher driving position this style of vehicle offers, but its nice to have the four wheel drive if the conditions are slippery.
Overall I'm absolutely delighted with it.

The Honda Cr-v 2.2 I-ctdi Could Be Great If The Ge
The Honda CR-V 2.2 i-CTDi could be great if the gear change was smoother, I have spoken to Honda direct & the local dealer & they only ask to run the car in more. I am a company vehicle driver & I have had many vehicles over the years & I can tell that it is not going to improve. I have completed approx' 4000 miles And have had 2 other faults also, one after a two weeks holiday & not using the car the battery was flat, the breakdown agency confirmed the battery had not been fully charged on delivery. Two the drivers window has an annoying rattle which has yet to be fixed.
Overall I am disappointed with the vehicle as I could have chose from numerous other company cars on offer.
