10k! From Bike Tyre

Just had second set of michelin pilots fitted to kawasaki zr7s 17.000 miles on the bike, garage confirmed ist set fitted at 7500, couldnt believe it! the rear was squared off but still legal tread. front was starting to show little dimples in tread but also still legal, once new set fitted though such a difference to handling on the way home thought i had a new bike! rained almost all the way home also but the feel of the new tyres gave me great confidence. would definitely recommend to anyone.

I Ride A Ktm Duke2 2004. I Have Only Just Replaced

I ride a KTM DUKE2 2004. I have only just replaced my rear tyre with the pilot road from a maxxis supersport. The feel of the bike is dramatically different, the tyre gives me more confidence throwing the bike in to tight corners. Only done 300 miles so far so i cannot comment on durabillity or value for money.

Tyres Since I Have Owned My Vfr750 F-l,

Tyres

Since I have owned my VFR750 f-l, which has been 2 years now I have had 2 sets of tyres, it came with Metzlers Z4 tyres which were iffy but OK in the dry and down right awful in the wet but I could get to the edge of them,

Next was Dunlops, this was a mistake, awful tyre, the bikes balance was ruined, it felt like it was falling into corners although the dry grip level was OK the wet again was ropy.

I have recently put on a set of Michelin pilot roads, I have had Pilots powers on my Z1000 for a few years now and love them so was hopeful well after the first 50 miles I was at the edge of the rubber. The bike was happy as anything, so much more grip and the profile is perfect, With in an hour I was scraping the pegs on some of my favourite B road corners.

This was fine as it was dry, then last week on some god awful rain the pilot roads again came to their own, the grip was fantastic, no scary moments and the confidence to push in the wet was fantastic. Although I have still have better confidence on my Zed but it's a newer bike with uprated Ohlins suspension.

Anyone wanted good confidence inspiring tyres, get the fat mans rubber .Michelins

Just Fitted A Pair Of Michelin Pilot Road 2's Ct T

Just fitted a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 2's CT to my CBR 600 F after having a pair of Continental attack , What a great tyre , I have only done 300 miles on them and already I am more confident on these then the last 6 months on another tyre. already trying to get my knee down. I mainly do weekend runs out on twisty roads and the tyre feels stable and planted, I cant really comment on how many miles i will get but should see at least 5000. I was seriously considering some bridgestones as they were Cheaper. My mate who rides an R6 convinced me to spend the extra cash as we do some touring and thought they would last longer. After spending 4 weeks reading reviews all over the net I decided to spend extra money and buy a pair .

'michelin Pilot Road' Are A Very Reassuring Tyre,

'Michelin Pilot Road' are a very reassuring tyre, just make sure tyre pressures are correct as this makes a big difference, recommended and long lasting.

Standard fitment by honda on my 06 / 600 honda hornet, what a great tyre, they give good feedback and good grip in the wet, just got back from portugal over the pyrenees, tyres coped well in the twisties in the mountains and have lasted 7900 miles front and back, I ride fairly hard so I am suprised they lasted so long, will replace at 8000 miles front and back.

Long Lasting Considering (3,500 Mile Up To Now), H

Long lasting considering (3,500 mile up to now), Hold the road well enough to get your knee down. I do a lot of motorway type riding as well as twisters and the wear rate is fairly even.

I will replace them for the same tyre when the time comes, as I am very pleased with them and they give me plenty of grip. Good all round tyre for me and meet my needs so why change. Bike: Ducatti 999.

The Michelin Pilot Road Is A Good Stable Motorbike

The Michelin Pilot Road is a good stable motorbike tyre that makes my lardy ZZR11 feel quite sporty as quite a few "sports" bike riders that I have gone past will testify. They last well and give good grip both dry and wet and last well too.

Just going to have a set of the newer Pilot Road 2Ct's fitted on Thursday so will let you know. Watch this space.

I Ride A 2006 Honda Fireblade Which I Bought From

I ride a 2006 Honda Fireblade which I bought from new and came with Pirelli Corsa Diablo's. I got 4k from the rear tyre & 7.5k from the front which isn't bad. I then decided to go for a set of dual compound tyres as most of my riding is commuting on straight roads and the Pirelli rear would rapidly square off. My initial concern was weather I would still get good grip in the corners from DC tyre's as I still like to get the knee down on occasions.I eventually chose a set of Michelin Pilot Road 2's. At first when riding home from the garage I thought I'd made a big mistake! The handling was awful! Riding steadily (as you do on new tyre's), the front felt like it wanted to dive too quickly into corners and even in a straight line was squirrely! it was a bit like riding on a loose gritty surface. Once home I cut off all the mold castings There were LOADS around the centre & went back out. They were immediately better and now after only 115 miles of scrubbing in I am awstruck by their superb handling. Much to my surprise the bike grips extremely well when cornering at speed and literally feels like its on a rail. I would even say they grip BETTER than the Pirelli's! Even in the wet they handle well & feel planted. I have to say I enjoy riding the blade more than ever on these as they are so confidence inspiring. Only time will tell if the dual compound resists squaring off as it should & I have no idea what sort of mileage I'll get but at this point, I don't really care! I just love the feel of these tyres! I am so impressed with these tyre's that I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a sports bike. So, buy the Mitchelin's, cut off the castings ride steadily for a while until scrubbed in then enjoy your riding....You won't regret it.
