The Tyres That Came With My Bike Were Continental
The tyres that came with my bike were Continental Conti-Force and so I thought I'd try Continental Road Attacks when the Conti-Force tyres wore out.
The price for Road Attacks was competitive with Avon tyres and less than the equivalent Bridgestones, no complaints there then. Tread depth is quite deep on these tyres when new, 7mm on the rear and 4mm on the front and during winter that's no bad thing with the amount of rain in the UK.
Feedback and grip levels are very good in the dry and the tyre seems no different in the wet, two up or solo. Tyre life will be determined by riding style and the bikes power but on a BMW 1150RT I managed 15000 mile front and 8000 miles on a rear, a ratio of almost two rears to one front. The front started to feel horrible in its last 1000 miles of life but to be fair I don't suppose it was intended to last that long.
Downsides? Yes, the rears tended to square off noticeably by about 6000 miles. Other than that, none really.
In summary, a well priced tyre with excellent grip and reasonable life. Would I buy them again - yes I would.
