I've Been Using Arai Helmets For Years But Decided
I've been using Arai helmets for years but decided to have a change (Arai are expensive and while very good and I like them, not perfect) so after looking at several alternatives bought a Caberg V2X carbon. About half the price of an Arai but not half the quality. In fact it's about as good possibly better (no loose trim which I have had with Arai). The vents work OK and the visor works very well, though it should it's new, the mechanism looks simple and looks like it will last. It seals with a simple click instead of the Arai's to fiddly little sliding black button which I could never be bothered to use. It also came with a fogcity insert, which really helps to keep the visor fog free. The built in sun visor also works well though I may have to alter it slightly as it touches my nose (probably more to do with me having a big nose than than the design of the helmet), apart from that minor flaw comfort is very good. Wind noise is not bad (as with most helmets it could be better) much the same as my Arai astro/j. Chin strap is double d-ring with a popper to fasten the loose end which suits me fine, personally I don't like the seat belt type fasteners. All in all a clever helmet with useful features, so far I'm impressed and pleased with it. Top value for money.
