Rac Are Rubbish
To all car sellers I am selling my AUDI A4 convertable, I had a buyer request a car inspection from the RAC which I welcomed he arrived in his own car with just a few tools which looked very dodgy didn't look provisional what so ever the inspection lasted 40min which the buyer told me it would take up to 2 1/2 hours the report the inspector gave the buyer was false information like my car had no mot which was la lie as my mot runs out 28 apr 2015 also gave the buyer nothing but a bad report on my car which is rubbish as my car is immaculate, also the buyer told me he paid the RAC £229 for this inspection which was for only 40 mins I personally think the buyer was giving this false information so he would pull out of the sale so they could have him request another inspection for another £229 for 40 mins work. I did call RAC to make a complaint I had absulutly no help what so ever as they told me there was no complaint to be made Which made me so angry as they made me lose a sale on my car by giving this false information I will never welcome an RAC inspection on any of my cars again which I'm selling in the future I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them or let them inspect your car as all they will do is make you lose your sale

Recently Bought A Secondhand Car That Came With An
Recently bought a secondhand car that came with an RAC Inspection Report. So I felt I could buy with confidence. How wrong I was. Took delivery and found car had brake and tyre faults that were not identified in the vehicle inspection. So I had vehicle independently inspected. Needed new brake pads and two tyres - cost me £200 to put right. When I tackled the RaAC they told me I wasn't their customer, the supplying garage was. So got them to take it up. The RAC told the garage the faults could have arisen anytime after the survey!
Moral of this tale is don't take the RAC inspection as anything other than a sales gimmick. Get the car checked at the actual time of purchase - by someone else.

I Recently Had An
I recently had an RAC Essentials vehicle check. I found it to be a complete waste OF £124-00 +£10-00 verbal report. If you look on the P. Fisherman web site you will see listed over 190 check points, however when you receive the report there are only 12 and unless there is a fault of prominence the box is EMPTY. After I complained of this I was advised I should have had the more expensive Essentials Plus report.
