I did the request over the internet and all appeared ok, purchased the BMW from Promotive in South Wales. Went to trade in the vehicle a year later only to find it had outstanding finance with BMW UK. I contacted the inspection company by recorded delivery for an explanation and to date I have had no reply to my query. I contacted the garage who did not show any interest either. I resolved the matter by contacting the owner from new and they kindly took up the matter with BMW and it was resolved. Mycarinspections and Promotive showed poor customer service in not making any efforts. The inspection engineer did a fair and honest job, but he is only contracted to undertaken that element.

I write this on the evening of my supposed car inspection. I booked in for a fully comprehensive car check at £195 for early this afternoon. The guy who took the payment yesterday could not be friendlier explaining and confirming that my inspection was booked in for this afternoon and that I should expect a call between 4pm-6pm from the Engineer. 6pm came and no call, I contact customer services only for them to leave the main office a message to contact me. Hour later still nothing. I contact the car seller who informs me that no engineer had turned up and inspection was not performed. Call customer services who tell me nothing we can do but leave a message to get back in tough with you.

Absolute joke, I would vote 0 stars if I could!

Excellent prompt service. Good engineer and easy to access my report online. Highly recommended to those wishing to spend money on a used car. Cheaper than the AA/RAC too which was a bonus! THANKS AUTECO FOR A GREAT SERVICE!

Very happy with my mercedes inspection, aa rac dekra wouldnt check the vehicle due to its age but auteco were happy to help

Excellent report delivered online only a few hours after the check took place

Think they could improve there call centre though as often staff are busy and have to wait for a call back

I am having to take auteco vehicle inspections to court to recover costs of 1535 pounds for repairs to 2 vehicles they inspected on my behalf which were then exported to me in Australia. They have failed to answer any of my correspondence.

The faults would have been obvious to anyone who drove the cars. One had oil spewing out of the front oil cooler and the other grated badly enough to "take your hand off" when changing from second to third gear!

Beware! Beware! Beware!.....

Bid for car on ebay - but luckily booked auteco for an inspection at the last minute - turned out to be a write off. Was about to pay £3000-would highly recommend.

Booked on Monday, got report on tuesday and collected the car on thursday. Just like Craig David but better!

Fast response, and much cheaper than AA & RAC.

Inspection report form appears online and you are given your own login, much faster than waiting for a post copy or email. Engineer called me on the day too.

I found Auteco Vehicle Inspections to be cheaper than RAC/AA - checked car next day, car had some small faults but got some money off. Good service.

Recommended -will use next time.
