Wm Couper Ltd, St Albans

Took vehicle in for warranty repair and was told they wouldn't be able to have a look at until it was booked in. Booked it in and arranged for a courtesy car whilst it was being repaired. Dropped the vehicle off during the day before we had arranged and picked up the courtesy car which was booked for us the day after. Received a call at 16:30 to say that we must return the courtesy car by 17:30 as it was booked out to another customer the next day (the day it was originally booked out for us) and that they had diagnosed the vehicle and it needed a warranty repair part which they had ordered in for the next day. When I queried why we could not keep the courtesy vehicle for the day we had originally booked it out for they said that it was only insured for 1 day (Actually WE had insured it for however long it required!) and it was booked out to another customer (we had originally booked it until our vehicle was repaired!). Out of courtesy we bent over backwards to get the courtesy car back the next morning (in rush hour) but requested if we could have a second courtesy car whilst the vehicle was being repaired - the didn't want to know! Was then told the part wouldn't be there till the next day. When I started to complained to the manager in store he said he was busy and walked on!!! Was not vaguely apologetic in the slightest. This was a warranty repair for a vehicle less than a year old!!! SEAT & HYUNDIA - take the dealership off these people - they are harming your brand!

I went for a test drive of the i10 with my husband and I wanted to part exchange my car. I was offered terrible money and said no,although we were quite close to a deal. We left. The next day I received a telephone call from another salesman who said he would 'sharpen his pencil if I could sharpen mine' and he would see what deal he could come up with overall.

I received a call the next day saying that the price had gone up.

How is this good customer service, he obviously didnt sharpen his pencil as promised.

Avoid like the plague.

Stay clear of Wm Couper dealership. They sold us a car with a major problem which only a few months after purchase needed fixing to the cost of over £700 (even though it had a one year warranty) After a lot of fighting with them, they offered a measely £100 towards the cost, yet another dealer who had been helpful repairing the things that wm couper refused to do stated that they would have at least offered to cover half the cost of repair if we had bought it from them. The air con the vehicle was sold with has never worked, they made one attempt to fix it but did not make a difference. Another problem arose only a couple of months after purchase which was covered by the warranty and again they refused to fix the vehicle, which we had to take elsewhere to be fixed (under warranty). We have numerous problems with this car, and are totally unsatisfied with their after sales care (there isnt any) We are a young family who work hard for our money, and with what little we have we put our faith in them in selling us a decent safe car which we most definately did not get. We would never ever consider buying a car from wm coupers again, no matter how tempting the price may be as we have learned the hard way it is most likely a piece of junk which will either give up the ghost or cost a lot of money in repairs shortly after purchasing. I advise anyone thinking of buying a car from wm couper not to, they will turn their backs on you like they did to us. Seriously dont be sucked in or conned.
