Renault Clio

My elderly father bought a car from Weatherwhites, he is in his 80's and i'm always conscious of him being taken advantage of. He was dealt with By a young man, who couldn't have been more helpful. My father was struggling to get down to collect the car as i was away, i called him to delay the collection and he very kindly offered to deliver the vehicle. Would highly recommend

2011 Fiesta Style

Purchased a new car for my daughter from Weatehrwhites. Ross served me and was helpful and polite. Car came with 12 mtnhs MOT, and a fresh service.

Had an issue after a month or so, with an alternator. I spoke to Ross again, who had the car collected the following day, and it was fixed and ready for collection that afternoon.

pleased that they resolved the problem and did it quickly.

all things considered would recomnend

Nissan Qashqai Weatherwhites

Read the last review prior to visiting the site - Weatherwhites - and in honesty went in with some pretty negative preconceptions. However they had the exact car I wanted (or at least my wife wanted!) so I thought I'd give them a go but go into it with my eyes open.

I'm glad I did. The salesman I dealt with (Russ) was very helpful, and didn't push me into anything, was patient when we test drove multiple cars, and informative and courteous to all of our (her) questions.

Having read the previous review I asked to see the documentation for MOT and service, at which point I was introduced to the workshop manager who's name escapes me, who ran me through what had been checked on the vehicle and the various works carried out in its preparation.

I felt reassured and despite raising the poor review with them, neither sales nor mechanics would comment on the specifics just that there are always two sides and that they would always try and keep a customer happy.

I collected the car on Thursday and couldn't be happier. I've also walked away with a 6 month warranty and free MOT for life.

I would definitely recommend these guys.

Recently I purchased a bmw 320d from this establishment the car supposedly had a new mot just before Collection

upon collection it was immediately obvious that the handbrake did not work , the car was collected by someone and returned within a couple of hours with the problem solved ,,, 1 month later no handbrake ,,,,, the second issue is that the front tyres were almost illegal I asked if they would replace them at point of sale ,, the salesman refused saying the old story " there's no Profit for him to replace the tyres ,, ok so I accepted ,,, four weeks in and the alternator gave up ,, yes they have replaced the alternator under warranty i dropped the car of on a Wednesday afternoon ,, to be told that there wasn't much chance of it being sorted till after the weekend (3 bolts 3 wires and a hours labour) they said I would have to leave the car there as the ecu could be damaged ,, no option of a courtesy car and no care at all that I was stuck at there yard or the fact I had no way to get home or get to work ,,, after hassling them I did get the car back on the Friday evening ,,,,, today I've been and had two new front tyres fitted upon fitting the mechanic asked me to look at something ,,, to my disgust the front n/s shock absorber is drenched in oil , and clearly hasn't just happened ,,, I called the salesman and mentioned this to him ,, his flippant reply was "wasn't like that when we mot'd the car ,,,,, upon reading my "mot" certificate ,,,, amazingly there's absolutely no advisories ,,,, which is odd really as

1. The handbrake was faulty

2. The front tyres were almost illegal

3. The front n/s shock absorber is drenched in oil

And yes they MOT there own cars

The car is being mot'd this Saturday by a independent garage to establish the exact condition

I'll also be contacting other legal bodies in the next few days

This review is exactly as things have happened

I urge who ever reads this do not buy a car from these people

The place had a bad name before they was took over ownership

In my opinion mud sticks and sticks for a reason

Take your money else where

Great Service

Hugely impressed with Symon from Weatherwhites.

Walked in having given up on finding the vehicle that I was looking for when I stumbled across them on Autotrader.

Gave them a call, and was there with a brand new vehicle within an hour! None of that messing around having to get it serviced and checked before you drive away, they do all that before they put it on the forecourt and show you the paperwork to prove it. That is a huge benefit when time is of the essence.

Really impressed at the non pushy and friendly approach that put me first, not selling the car.

And as if that wasn't enough...... all this, on a Sunday!

Really happy and will be back.

Many thanks!

Great Garage To Deal With....

WE BOUGHT OUR DAUGHTER'S FIRST CAR FROM WEATHERWHITES AND FOUND THE GUY'S THAT RUN THE PLACE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND NOT PRESSURISING IN ANYWAY WHICH IS WHAT WE HAD FOUND WITH SOME PLACES WE HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN TO.

WE FOUND THEY HAD A GOOD RANGE OF CARS AND VERY REASONABLE PRICES,WHILST WE DIDN'T GET TO MUCH OF A REDUCTION THEY DID ADD 6 MONTHS ROAD TAX WHICH WE WAS MOST HAPPY WITH.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR PURCHASE AND WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Pretty Impressed

My girlfriend bought a £4000 Corsa from them about a month or so ago. Car was a little dear but high spec and seemed looked after.

Weren't given a hard sell, just allowed to drive the car up and down the road and look at it at our leisure.

Girlfriend fell in love with it, so we were back the next day after it. No haggle on price, but got tax and warranty and a years MOT thrown in, so we were happy. Left a deposit and went back to get it a few days later.

Weather was lovely during our test drive, so we managed to test the aircon, but not the heating.

As it turns out, this wasn't working.

The warranty didn't make any specific mention of the heating so we panicked a little. However, when we called them up they were very apologetic, and said they would fix it as soon as they could.

Have to say, it was refreshing just talking to them. Having just had a very unhelpful response from a dealer with my own car, it was virtually the opposite with Weatherwhites. They were very apologetic and seemed like they genuinely wanted to help.

Getting the part, that took a while- almost two weeks. We were getting a little frustrated, but thankfully the weather held out and was actually quite balmy the whole time. Just as it turned with the 'storm', the part turned up.

When we saw the part, it was easy to understand why the delay happened. It was a huge part, virtually most of the space behind the dash, and we realised it was a huge job and why they wanted to make sure they had the right part. Vauxhall seem to have created a single unit all glued together that has to be replaced en masse if one component fails. Ridiculous, but it explained why they were apprehensive about having the right part because it would ultimately be a huge job.

Anyway, once they had the car, the part was replaced in the time frame they said it would be and thanks to living in the same town as the guy who sold us the car, they even came and dropped it off, once again apologising.

So, to be clear, we were very happy. Second hand cars can be a bit of a crapshoot, and any check of the car wouldn't have necessarily turned up a problem. The heating as it was did turn out some lukewarm air, which would be sufficient to assume everything was working as it should be, so we can certainly see why it wasn't spotted. We only noticed because we were driving the car very early in the morning when it was cold.

All of the above, I suppose, is what you would want from any car dealer and doesn't separate them out from any of the good ones.

What I would say does is how they spoke to us and treated us during the last few weeks. Very polite, very helpful, no greasy car dealer speak. They actually came across like nice blokes.

And as the missus loves her car, I think we can say we would be more than happy to recommend them and hopefully this review will be a small thanks for the great service so far

Thank you for this detailed experience of purchasing a car from us. Selling second hand cars comes with testing obstacles which where possible we try to overcome.

Some age/mileage related issues can't always be covered by warranty or refurbished. That goes the same with these kind of unforeseen problems. However I am glad you were able to bear with us to get the correct part in.

As a diagnosis it was pretty clear that the blowers weren't heating up, Finding out why was a little more testing. However we got there in the end.

Thanks again.

Cars That Fit A Budget...

My family have been using weatherwhites for a number of years, mainly due to the friendly family run atomosphere, and also as you don't get pressured to purchase. (None of this 'sell sell sell' rubbish you get eleswhere). They treat you as they find you, which is always welcoming.

Always have a variety of car to suit a budget, my recent purchase a fiat punto for my sister was her first car, and all has been fine, 1 minor teething problem which was quickly seen to and rectified by the garage behind.

I have always popped in to see what they have available as stock is always changing when I drive past.

I remember the Punto for your Sister. Glad we could help and cure that niggly teething fault. Thanks for this review. See you soon. :-)
