The Worst Buying Experience In My Life!
Review of Carewarehouse Middlesbrough May 2022.
The worst buying experience of my life. With 44 years experience of buying cars. Why?
They are not accredited to any Motor ombudsman vehicle or dealer standards, so they are under there radar. And they know it. This means that if you have a dispute with them over your purchase, then the Motor ombudsman won’t help you with your consumer rights with regards to buying a car from them. (I.e. The CTSI chartered trading standards institute/the 2015 consumer standards supporting you with your rights regards to buying a car. If you are not happy, they can and will treat you how they choose as they know they can’t be touched. Please read some other reviews, not their mates reviews e.g. read the real ones, like the retired solicitors review of how he was treated and the car standards he came experienced. The title is “A Clear case of Freud”, October 2021, I had the same experience. There are many others so please read before trusting and jumping in to buy from them.
My experience, I travelled 170 miles (340 there and back)to test drive a car which was at top end price, with only, allegedly, 4500 miles on the clock. When I get there, I was given the keys to go a inspect the car. I found that the gear box was broken. I walked the car and there was a snags list as long as your arm, scruffy worn interior, dents, chips etc. that weren’t described or in the picture adverts.
Original mats and 1/2 tonneau cover were missing. These are £400 to buy separately.
The worst thing was they knew and didn’t tell me, or call or msg me before I travelled through, or even before getting into the car.
The advert was advertised as a rare car in pristine condition, at a top end price.
I lost their trust at this point and just wanted to get out.
Their behaviour when confronted about my disappointment was then arrogant and disrespectful.
This car was not as advertised, it was just a really bad experience.
There are many reputable dealers who gladly accredit themselves to vehicle consumer standards for buyers, but not this one.
Stay well clear is my advice and be careful of the old read the small print sham.

First Let Me Say That As A Retired Solicitor I Cho
First let me say that as a retired solicitor I choose my words carefully.
After choosing a vehicle from this firm's stock I was asked to pay a £ 1,000. deposit which I did. Delivery was agreed as being immediately after DVLA completed UK registration.
We are now over three months on and my every communication has been ignored. Consequently I have instigated steps to recover my deposit.
Expressed simply, I am utterly flabbergasted!

Very Honest And Down To Earth Traders
My purchase was a Subaru Domingo retro van done out like a VW camper but with no badge. The van is 20 years old and was detailed to my specification prior picking it up. It took a bit longer than originally expected because of the detailing I had requested but I am completely thrilled with the final result which included a full respray at trade prices.
All I can say is these traders are dead real and refreshingly down to earth that I was treated with honesty and respect throughout the sale. I had a few issues arise after sale that they immediately paid for me to get fixed with no hesitation. Because of my experience I would definitely recommend these traders to friends and family or anyone looking for something unique.

Terrible And Rude Customer Service Avoid
I rang in seeking information of a car they had which has very common faults. The guy over the phone addresses me it's all perfect. Finally we come to talking about the cost, as I asked if he would be willing to reduce the cost seeing the car has been in UK over 4 months the guy lied stating it's been here recently and he hung up! Rude unprofessional avoid at all cost! Last he even told me to go buy else where!! Ridiculous!
The car was bought 4 months previous by us in Japan , 3 Months in transit From Japan and only recent to the customers call was the car UK ready , Regardless of how long the car is in our stock we do not have to discount because the customer tells us he does not want to pay the advertised price , Classic go up in value not down , Your comment is true and we did say we would prefer you to buy elsewhere , 1 we are confident that the car was worth its asking price and did sell for the asking price . 2 customers select who they buy a car from and in this case i would have preferred somebody else to take the business , If you wanted a cheaper car other garages would have a cheaper car hence the reason for telling you to look elsewhere . 3 You already had a bad attitude on the telephone before buying a car so it would be difficult to make you a happy customer .

Mercedes C Class
I recently purchased a Mercedes from this company and for the fist couple of weeks it seemed fine. A three month warranty was also given as part of the deal. Recently though the car has been in and out of the garage next door after complaining of a judder in the front end of the car when braking and a loud squeak from the underside of the car. After leaving the car for a week it was diagnosed as a problem with the pads and discs which were then replaced at no cost and part of the exhaust was apparently tightened up to stop the squeak.
All was fine again for a few more days until the first distance trip out, when a loud bang was heard from under the car. On inspection I found that the entire rear box had come away from the exhaust pipe. Previous to this there had been no indication or noise from the exhaust to make me think that it was due to rust etc.
I have taken the car back to the garage to be told that it is wear and tear and not covered by the warranty and that both The Car Warehouse and the garage I was sent to deny that it is their responsibility. I have consulted Trading Standards who agreed that under the Sale of Goods Act the car is not fit for its purpose and that if work was carried out to the exhaust area then this should not have happened.
To cap it all I have now had the advisor from The Car Warehouse shouting down the phone to me complaining that I have an attitude. This is hardly good customer service and I would certainly advise all to stay clear and deal with another car company who are more helpful and want customers to return for future business. I do not think that this will come to a satisfactory conclusion and will happily leave it with Trading Standards.

I am the Owner of The Car Warehouse and this jumped up little salesman did not buy the car from us , His very polite very honurable and very respectfull easy to deal with boss bought it for him for £2500 to use for his business , He is a salesman and had the car bought for him to use for business use covering a lot of mileage , He expected the car to be a brand new mercedes , It was not , However it was a very good used mercedes , He complained about his brakes on more than one occasion and we had it in two seperate workshops who could not find a fault , In the end we replaced his pads and discs to put a conclusion to his complaint , Only for him to come back after covering a lot of mileage complaing about a noise from his exhaust which was also inspected , He was the most rudest arrogant customer i have ever had to deal with and if he was to walk in my garage again tomorrow or any of the workshops who do work for us and speak to a member of staff in the manner he does , Then i would have no option to do the same again as i did last time.
Just because we are providing goods it does not give this man the right behave or to talk to anybody in the manner he does . I will not allow people around me to be spoken to in this way
Manners and politeness will go a long way in life not just business ..
