Atrocious Service
We bought an old XTrail and booked it into Rowstock Nissan for a service, and as requested left the locking wheel nut on the passenger seat. We also left a rear windscreen wiper on the seat that we had bought from Nissan and asked them to fit that for us. When we collected the car both items were still on the seat. They went away to ask the mechanic what had happened and were told that the locking wheel nut was not there and they could not use any of theirs as the wheels where non-standard. They said that the mechanic could not find the wiper! Both items were still on the passenger seat and as we were having some follow up work done they said that they would do the work they had missed as well. By now we were not confident that they would do everything we had asked for and asked them to confirm on the phone that they had obtained all the required parts before we brought the car in for the booked work. The phone calls were not forthcoming. We also phoned them to check that all the work was complete before we picked the car up and they assured us it was. We asked about the windscreen wiper and they told us that the mechanic could not find it. when we picked the car up the wiper had been fitted and when we looked at the invoice they had charged us for the wiper that we had provided. There were many other problems including the air conditioning system still not working after we had paid for it to be re-gassed. Apart from the lack of competence they were also misogynistic and when my wife complained about this as it is her car they simple removed my name and inserted hers but left the prefix Mr. We put a complaint in to the owner of the business but his reply was dismissive and patronising. We will certainly never use this garage again and have also shared our experience with our friends and acquaintances. We absolutely love our old XTrail but unless we can find a competent dealer we will probably not buy another Nissan.

Not Recommended, Unsatisfactory Company In Many Respects.
Rowstock Nissan Car Dealership. Purchased a used car from this company with only 9000 miles on the clock.
Post delivery, brakes were found to be faulty to such extent that Rowstock took the car from me and would not allow me to drive it. New discs were fitted but despite numerous requests I was given no explanation as to why I had been sold a car with faulty brakes. I have been given no explanation as to why this fault had not been ascertained during the " comprehensive pre-sales check and full service" that had allegedly been done.
The company, I later ascertained, gave me a low trade-in value on my car and despite previous promises, refused to negotiate on the price of the vehicle I was purchasing. I had foolishly paid a £500 deposit when the Nissan of the type I was seeking had been located. This makes it hard to back out of any deal.
I have sent one letter to the Sales Manager and two emails to the owner about pre-sales and brake problem and have not had any form of reply.
This company are all over you prior to purchase and make loads of promises that are subsequently not kept. After purchase, when the firm has your cash they do not want to know you.
