I Bought My Hyundai Coupe 2.0 Se, New, Last Year F
I bought my Hyundai Coupe 2.0 SE, new, last year from Renwicks of Exeter. It was a pleasant easy transaction, I was not pushed into anything but allowed to browse and return without constant Sales person harassment. I had looked at very many different cars in very many different dealerships already! I was given the opportunity to drive this car away and keep it for the day, as a test drive - I fell in love with the car.
The Salesman I dealt with was very pleasant and very helpful. He made sure I had a good deal with my car. Once I had made my final decision on the car I wanted, I didn't want to wait long for my new car to be ready! I paid a deposit and I wanted the car like YESTERDAY!
Once we had taken care of the paperwork I was given a delivery date. I was paying cash so had to arrange for a Bankers Draft. Being as impatient as I was the draft was drawn up a couple days before the date I was given for delivery. I telephoned to say all was sorted my end, how is my car? He made sure my car was ready that same afternoon, knowing how desperate I was to get behind the wheel! Two days earlier than previously arranged!
I am very pleased with my Hyundai, and have had no problems in nearly a year, therefore have not needed to return to the dealer yet (first service due soon!) but my opinion of them is very high and I feel confident that if I ever do have problems the very helpful team of staff at Renwicks will do their best to ensure Customer satisfaction.
Top Marks to Renwicks of Exeter!
Hi Guys. I did feel the Hyundai was a really nice car. I just thought the Mazda RX-8 was that bit superior in all departments. My neighbour drives a Hyundai Coupe; I forget the model specifications, apologies, but he's very happy with his car indeed. The Mazda does have a few little niggles that I would include in the "Bad Points", but I think they have all been documented in the reviews already composed by Mazda owners.
Thanks Lee. You are right. Your comment about the warranty and breakdown cover will be helpful to anyone buying a new Hyundai. These cars are so very reliable, Hyundai can offer this, unlike most manufacturers who only offer three years as opposed to five. I have had no problems whatsoever with my car, and for a 2 litre petrol engine, the fuel economy is pretty good. The insurance is not too high either. The only thing I found higher than my other 2 litre diesel car (which I still have) is the tax! And contrary to some opinions, this car drives like a beaut. I love the new 2007 model Coupe, which has changed a little, but I don't want to trade mine in just yet. Maybe eventually! I will certainly buy another Hyundai.
My Sister-in-Law bought her Peugeot from this dealer also. She had a great deal on hers, and she agrees that the Customer Service is excellent at Renwicks. So new or used, I would recommend Renwicks every time.
Hi Helen. Firstly I would like to say you write a good review. I only included the comment because I thought it would be useful.
If like me, you would like to see users leave a comment rather than a negative mark, I strongly suggest you don't try to shoot them down. We are only trying to help.
Hyundai car or Hyundai dealership, the reader of either would benefit from the information I passed on through your review. It was not intended as a dig. Please try not to be so defensive. Thanks for replying, and keep up the good work. Lee1977.
P.S I rated your review helpful.
I will look out for your review on your proper sports car Micky. I very much look forward to reading it.
I am sure your comment will help anyone looking for a Hyundai car Lee, but this review, as I mentioned, was just about the Dealership who happen to be a Hyundai main dealer. I will write another review of my car, one year on with as much detail as I can think of. You must also bear in mind I write reviews from a woman's point of view, and most women do not want to read about torques and brake horse power (but I will include some of the technical stuff I missed off last time), and I have found often I get treated differently to men when making purchases such as those of a vehicle. Many women may tell you the same!
The first review I wrote when I had only had the car for 5 days PLUS, it was my very first encounter with a computer, trying to write a review with absolutely no experience whatsoever! As I have seen you mention, first reviews are probably not as good as they could have been! I feel now with more experience of writing reviews I can include more relevant detail than I could almost a year ago! The reason I wrote this review on the dealership I dealt with was because, looking at some of the other reviews I could see some people had had some bad experiences of their local Hyundai Main Dealership, but our local dealership were excellent. Just balanced things out a little!
