Peugeot Repair

Car was experiencing engine trouble very poor cold starting and engine down on power. New battery and starter motor which helped but did not resolve the low power issue. Said what I needed and said it was due to a solenoid, person on desk said I could read all sorts online and did not believe me but I was proved right it was an EGR solenoid and Turbo solenoid. After having to wait an extra day for repair for no apparent reason, collected the car everything seemed great. Realised that part of the interior trim was missing and a loud paper buffeting noise at 70 miles an hour. Brought car back in for trim and noise issue, Service agent said it was my under tray which was in poor condition, funny how the huge label which had been flapping on the radiator has now been removed. Trim still not replaced, I pointed out where the piece of missing trim was when I last picked up the car, service agent said I now know what to order! Still not replaced will write a letter of complaint next. Well 5 phone calls have been left for them and counting to get back to me regarding a problem still nothing have never ever got back to me unless the car is with them. Customer service at the service desk is second to none or should that just be NONE. Avoid at all costs.

First Service On 1 Yr Old Car

The ONLY reason I took it back to main dealer for a service is to maintain manufacturers warranty on a car the is less than 3yr old. I felt sick in my throat when they billed for nearly £200 for a oil change and safety check, just over £100 of this was labour! I can easily do this work myself!! They said they's give it a full wash and clean inside...this was not done, I'd expect better from a main dealer! When I got my car home, I am always scepticle of work under my bonnet, so I checked under the bonnet for signs of work...and I found an oil soaked blue paper rag/towel adjacent to my oil filter...which is a good sign that work has been conducted, but a really bad sign that they have poor standards...as this was right next to the turbo on my diesel which could have caused a fire due to the high exhaust temperatures!!!! Very poor indeed!!! Never again Perry's!!

Do Not Touch Them

Brought a brand new peugeot from them in april2014.After just 2000 miles and six months later the car developed a few faults,one major! Ok cars can go wrong, but they were not intersted at all in booking the car in,no promised return call waiting on hold for twenty minutes and then told they could not do anything for us! rang the salesman and he suggested we took the car to another peugeot dealer to have the faults rectified!!

On another occasion the car broke down(this car is brand new!) we called peugeot assist, they refused to send any help unless we paid £150.00 over the phone via credit card.

On another occasion with another new car a couple of years ago we booked it in at perrys for a service on-line,we were quoted £100 (thankfully i printed a copy)When we arrived we were told the service would cost £280.00,after a few minutes arguing our case (yes arguing, very hostile lady on the service desk) they agreed to service the car at the price quoted on-line.

DO NOT USE PERRYS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PEUGEOT,TRY PORTFIELD IN CHICHESTER VERY HELPFUL.

Steer Clear Of Perrys, So Called, Servicing!

I was unfortunate enough to take my Fiat 500 for a service at Perrys, I bought it privately so this was the first service I had done and wanted a good job done by professionals (or so I thought). On their website they stated it would be £129 but when I arrived with the car in the morning they said it needed a main service and scared me into needing the cam belt changed so the service ended up being £516! I bought the car to them first thing in the morning stating I needed it by 5pm to get home, at 2:45 they called me to say it had just had its interim service check and I needed four new tyres as they were dangerous (the walls were cracked on the rear tyres and the front tyre tread was low, I also apparently needed a rear wiper blade and arm, I told them just to do the service which they did but in the end I didn't leave there until 6:15. When I got home I noticed the door handle (exterior drivers handle) was hanging off the car, I called them first thing next morning and was told "well nothing lasts forever love, it could have gone any time" after much persuasion they fitted it for free but I had to buy a new handle. When I took my car to a tyre specialist they said the rear tyres were absolutely fine and my front tyres had 500 - 1,000 miles left on them!

So, WARNING! They try to scare you into spending money with them on things you DON'T need.

(YES) they will sell you the gap insurance!

(YES) they will sit you down and show you a video on the Perry's Easy guard.

(NO) at no stage will they give you any prior warning, or information, or show you any videos on how they will gladly pocket your £500 deposit if you have to withdraw before all of the paperwork has been completed, or taken the goods

They will tell you that it will cover the 2 hours of work they had done! at £250 an hour? nice work if you can get it.

Please be very wary of this company, if you can afford to lose £500 of your hard earned savings,as we can't, please just donate it to a charity instead of having to go down the road of having to report them to Trading Standards.

Car Sales From Hell

Bought a car from perrys, had loads of faults, mentioned them and was told they will be sorted. Only a couple have been resolved and still driving around with dodgy brakes. They are happy to take your money but when you want it back they refuse out right. Also noticed on the rear between the boot and bumper a large gap at one end and a small one ther other. This was apparently not there when I bought the car and basicly told it was something to do with me!!!!????!!!!

A smiles at the begining but their after sales is SH*T to be polite. GO SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSWHERE AND STAY AWAY FROM PERRYS THE CAR SALES FROM HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Can Only Echo Previous Reviews - Shocking Service Department

Simply - go somewhere else. Service book filled in incorrectly with wrong mileage and due date. I had to tell them brake fluid needed changing, it's on 2 year intervals and car only ever serviced by them so they should have known. Forgot to change the air filter, another scheduled service item.

They tell you a gearbox noise needs URGENT remedial work and quote a bill around £1200. Only to back down when questioned.

My latest experience has been the icing on the cake. Perrys Portsmouth and the Perrys based call centre in Lancaster you probably end up speaking to when you think it's the dealership just caused chaos on a recent booking. Required a third trip to rectify when two at most should have been needed.

Call you up about your MOT and quote £54. I say I can do better elsewhere and that's it. Visit the dealership itself and it's in promotion at £30 and has been for months. Ar$e and elbow springs to mind.

Watch Out If You Have An Mot Here, They Try To Con

Watch out if you have an MOT here, they try to con you into work you dont need. My car failed its MOT, apparently needing new tyres and wheels etc. Took it to a garage in Chichester and it passed first time. They told me I needed 4 new tyres, I hasd bought a new one the previous day!

Absolutely abysmal service !!! no returne phone calls ,said they phoned but the number was incorrect,but when receptionist tried it worked fine -head office appalling also ,as for the managing directors assistant,well rude beyond belief!!! Also state in big letters they are the cheapest for tyres in Portsmouth,when this is a blatant lie.I for one am contacting Trading Standards,they should be closed down and reading the other comments im not surprised either -USELESS BUNCH OF MORONS !!!

i agree with everything you say but my problem is with perrys blackburn,ive a peugeot i bought from them 10 yrs ago and i use it mainly to travel up scotland 3 or 4 times ayear it had 24000 when bought and only 32000 now but the so called problems when its been in for a service and what supposedly is wrong with it,ive had to cats on it in this time 1 full exhaust system and one back part of exhaust system,ive just taken it in for a fuel additive top-up originally quoted £150,quote now £500,its amazing how many faults they find on mots and over the last 3 yrs its been around £600 per mot/repairs,when i questioned perrys was told that its because its stood on my drive most of the time,what a complete load of twaddle,i advise anyone not to use perrys for anything and please dont buy a peugeot because they are useless and thats perrys advise just by looking at the so called faults that these cars get,i certainly will not be using perrys for anything now.the only problem is that the computer systems and stuff peugeot use for peugeots is only accessed through dealerships,ANOTHER RIP OFF FRANCHISE.Heres a good one for you i was told that the back bracket for the exhaust,worth about £20 had failed on my car,cost quoted £280!!!this was because they didnt manufacture the bracket as a one off,i had to buy the full back box assembly,what a joke i could have welded a replacement in a welding shop in 5 mins,this is the sort of rip off you will get when you go to perrys!STAY WELL AWAY
