Terrible Life Threatening Experience
I brought a fiat pinto Eco 2010 7 months ago. After paying £2000 more then the actual worth of the car, the battery died on the day I drove it home leaving me stranded and without a car for a week, was given nothing but attitude and having constant arguments due to the temper of the dealer. A month later my brakes failed when I was stopping at a train crossing as the barrier was going down, I went flying across the track when the barrier was going down, if it wasn't for my quick reaction putting my foot on the gas peddle, it could of ended very badly.
I had 14 days to have a refund like most cars, tried refunding it but they wouldn't let me. Till today They weren't meant to send me my service book in the post, they didn't, as it's taken so long I ended up forgetting about it. 7months down the line I still don't have it, tried to contact them and it turns out the garage had moved and the mysterious person has disappeared, now I can't even sell the car coz I don't have a service book.
I've been treated very badly. Stay away
Kieran - I think it is the same company on the same site, they have just rebranded as 'A30 Car Sales of Hook'. Look at my review just before yours on here! Might be worth giving them a bell again or popping in if you can? I have given up on them, but not my crusade to stop other people suffering like you and I. I have fixed everything myself except the gear box, but I am lucky I can mend cars. Amazing an IT Project Manager is far more capable with cars than this shambles!!!!!
11 Months Of Pain
I can't find this dealer on the internet anymore, so may be out of business now? I bought a car from this place at the start of 2014 and it broke down on the first day I had it. They did take it back and fixed the problem, but as I had traded in my previous car, I then had to borrow cars left right and centre to survive for 3 days until I got it back. Within 1000 miles I got clicking from the CV joint to find the boot wasn't fitted properly and water had got in (the state of the boot had been mentioned on the MOT it came with!) I cleaned and greased up and then got about 10000 miles out of it before the driveshaft broke. So got a new one fitted. Then the fuel rail went and had to have that fixed (which I eventually had to get replaced after another breakdown). The starter motor failed and had to replace that (admitedly a part that often goes on cars). Then the car started to make a whirring noise, I put down to wheel bearings, but before I could get it checked the car broke down (AA out again for second time in 3 months!). Just been confirmed as a failed gearbox, so now have to get that replaced.
So maybe I just got a bad car and the dealer couldbn't have predicted all this? Well the car I traded in had done 150,000 miles and I was only getting rid as it just was not worth doing everything that needed doing. I was offered £120 scrap, but they offered me £150 trade in, so £30 is better than nothing. It appeared for sale on their website within 24 hours for £800! I watched it drop to £600 and then it disappeared. I enquired and they had sold it to someone. It still had my personal plate on which was in the process of being transferred between the two cars. In the end I found out the new owner was driving around with my plate, invalid road tax (the number plate was now on my new car) and they had insured it with someone with that plate as my insurance company contacted me about it. I only hope the new owner has done a lot of work to keep it running, or been lucky (unlike me!!!!).
Turns out the fuel leak from the rail caused more damage and I lost 4 hoses and my coolant in the last month as well!
I also think this company has rebranded itself to 'A30 Car Sales of Hook' as I have looked on companies house and "North Hants Cars" is still registered at the address and so still the same trading name behind it all I believe?

Bad Services And A Lemon For A Car.
After buying a car after one day later it broke down.Only to be dismissed by the rude saleman, saying that we did the fault our self. When we looked at the car there was a spare wheel when we picked it up it was gone and was told it wasn't the regulations to have a spare wheel. Apprantly they serviced the car. There is no way this happened. As the car had an illegal bold tyre. After taken it to our own garage as had no joy from north hants cars, it was found out the car was defiantly not serviced. Only when to be questioned only to be fob of from north hants cars. We have had the car one month and the car is currently in for its 7th visit at the garage due to another leak and spilt hose. Totally avoid north hants cars unless u really want a lemon of a car, then feel free to buy from them.....

Sold Me A Pup
Smarmy salesmen peddling dodgy second hand cars. Pick a trader that's a member of a recognised motor industry standards scheme instead . They are nice to your face but once they have your money you can go whistle
Avoid at all costs or u will regret it
I am not aware of this complaint. Please contact the office to provide full details if this is genuine. If we do not hear from you I can only presume this is local competition trying to destroy a good dealers reputation. To any future customers reading this please bear in mind the premises we operate from sells 50 to 60 cars per month and the few bad reviews on here is not a true reflection.
I had the exact same experience as you, avoid at all costs. Even though I only had the car two week before it broke down I was advised "to spend more money on a car next time, then it won't break down" disgraceful outfit

I cannot say how bad this dealer is, I would stay well clear they tell lies and will rip you off, look somewhere else to save yourself a headache.
Terrible "customer service" lied to myself and my partner on 4 different phone calls
I couldn't agree more with original review, manager is extremely dismissive and rude, stay away
I am not aware of any ongoing customer complaints at present, if this is genuine please provide full details of the car in question etc. I would like to make it very clear that we do not rip our customers off. Please call the office and ask for the sales manger to discuss this matter.

Kia Sorento
Hi, I would like to say that I purchased a car from them and found the advisor very helpfull.
From the moment I arrived I was treated professionally and courteously.
The car runs perfect, supplied with a good 3 month warranty.
Would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.
Thanks for a great service.
Hello there, thank you so much for your positive feedback! We are extremely pleased to hear that your car is going well.

Great Service And With A Smile
I purchased a Volvo at a great price and the car was as described. Nigel the salesman really made us feel welcome and dealt with us in a really professional manner. He did everything he promised and we drive the car with happy memories.
Thank you for the positive feedback! Chris. North Hants Cars
Interesting review - almost as though it was written by one of the staff or their relatives. Even more interesting that having done an extensive search prior to buying from the website there was absolutely nothing at all on the web about this company and then remarkably since my post a comment having a quick pop at my post and an impressively good review - perhaps you were their millionth customer

North Hants Cars Hook - Avoid At All Costs
I recently purchased a car from this place and it was without doubt a bad mistake. Sure the staff were friendly and the car drove ok on its test drive, however it had the spare wheel missing. No problem this was identified as it was over the garage having a puncture repaired. It was noted on the sales slip that the wheel would be supplied on its return. The car came with a 3 month warranty but there were no warranties to hand, in the sales shack so it was noted on the sales slip that one would be posted. The finance agreement was signed and I drove the car away. After about ten days there was no sign of the warranty or the spare wheel so I phoned the sales place using the same number I had phoned to register my interest in the car, but was told I needed to speak to someone else and was given a different number. I phoned but that person wasn't in the office but would get back to me. No surprise it never happened. I phoned back the next day and got to speak to the person who told me the wheel had been ordered and he had personally posted it out to me along with the warranty. I waited a further 7 days but nothing arrived. I phoned back and got passed to a different person who told me it had been sent and would arrive on the 23rd. I was then told the warranty would be emailed to me. It didn't arrive but a questionnaire did instead?? A couple of days later I happened to bump into the mechanic who does some of their work, who made a call and I was then given a mobile number to phone. I phoned this number and was told it was on its way. I phoned back again a further 3 days later and was very rudely spoken to and told in no uncertain terms to stop bothering him as he had more important things to do but to deal with his son.
I phoned his son and told him that his father didn't have a very good telephone business manner (not that I really expected much else). The son assured me that he had ordered the wheel from a company and it should be delivered on the 23rd September. (So realistically I should have had about 2 or 3 spare wheels on the way from how many people had ordered it). He gave me the email address of the company he had ordered it from and said he could do no more. I found out the company appears to be a breakers yard under the name of EGONSSCARSS who trade on ebay. I then sent two emails to the email address given to me and after no reply to either I then sent an email via ebay itself - still no reply. I can only conclude that they are probably something to do with NORTH HANTS CARS. The only positive is that the car was taken out on finance against no collateral and investigations show that I can still cancel the deal as they have broken the sale of goods act by not providing what was on the sales invoice. Oh the warranty arrived which was useful as the engine management light had come on indicating a problem with the exhaust system. Hey guess what not covered by the warranty.
This is a company who make Arthur Daley seem a good prospect to buy a car from. I cannot emphasis enough - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. If you are lucky enough to get a decent car then you will be lucky but heaven help you if you need any after sales assistance - they are rude, they tell constant lies and will palm you off with lie after lie. Avoid them - that's NORTH HANTS CARS at HOOK and its the one with a garage opposite and a car cleaning place right beside it. If you have read this and still buy from them then you get everything you deserve for being so stupid.
I can confirm that my son did eventually receive the spare wheel and accept that the company delivering was out of your hands. It may well be that the feedback was a little unfair but that was how the experience was coming across to me. Generally people don't usually leave feedback if their experience is good. I have no doubt you sell many cars and that there is rarely a problem (most the cars we looked at were very good). I am only relating my experience and what occurred during my transaction.
I'm sorry you feel you had a bad experience with us. The supplier of the spare wheel we ordered for you as promised are a company we have never used before and they really let us down with getting the wheel to you. I can assure you Egonscscarss are not a company of ours and we won't be doing any future business with them. I do admit that the warranty you were given was set up later than promised due to a change in the company we use, however it was still valid from the date you purchased the car, you just didn't have the documents as proof. Unfortunately a second hand car warranty is not the same as a manufacturers warranty which covers pretty much everything . We haven't heard from you since receiving your wheel or warranty so presume everything is o.k now. I feel the bad review you have left to try damage our reputation is a little unfair in the grand scheme of things. For any potential customers reviewing this website we do not sell dodgy cars and we have a large database of repeat customers that could vouch for us. I knew nothing about this website before today, so will be offering the details to all future customers buying cars from us to share their experiences. We are a small family business that sell on average 50 cars a month to mostly the local community and we recieve very little bad feedback. Please don't be put off by what you have read above. Best Regards, Chris. Sales Manager
Not at all I get fed up getting ripped off by companies. I am sorry to hear that happened to you but then thats your choice if you dont want to warn someone so they end up in the same situation. i have found other issues since the spare wheel (not tyre) but have realised that it just isnt worth the phone call and to be honest if my review helps to stop someone else's son getting ripped off then Ive achieved my aiim
So let me get this right, your rant is over a spare tyre and no warranty booklet. You need to get a life. I bought a car once that turned out to be stolen and I'm not as bitter as you. I rather fancy that reading your review you probably do this on a regular basis such is the structure. I'm guessing but I reckon your next complaint comes when the ashtray needs emptying.
