Avoid At All Costs!!!
I’d give 0 stars but it won’t let me
Cars been in this garage on and off for the past 7 months (august 2022 - ongoing), still not repaired. It goes in with one problem and comes out with another. It’s been wrongly diagnosed multiple times with the excuse, “we aren’t BMW mechanics”.
One excuse after another, staff illness/shortages, stock-checks that last a day so unable communicate, parts apparently taking weeks to come into stock and absolutely terrible customer service. Thought I was getting somewhere when I got in touch with the manager but he’s just as lackadaisical as the rest and doesn’t respond to emails. All staff are extremely unprofessional and passive aggressive.
The problem is still not resolved. It has been and still is causing sleepless nights and distress. I’ve never been this anxious in my life!!
AVOID BUYING USED CARS FROM THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS.
Untrue Promise To Buy
After viewing your own price promise that you would beat webuyanycars prices I drove through to Middlesbrough depot to get my vehicle valued I had a valuation of 1945 from we buy your valuation came back at 1730 but then the head office or where ever it goes to came back with 1430 finish price totally embarrassing for me and the guy who looked after me ? He had driven the car and was very impressed by its condition , he treated me very well and was good at his job ? Please do not believe these empty promises made by Vauxhall I have wasted an afternoon also my fuel , plus my daughter came through to pick me up as I was stupid enough to believe the price promise that is advertised on your billboards , totally disgusted
John Devenport my details are on your computer if you can be bothered to reply to me?

Evans Halshaw Middlesbrough Vauxhall
After my car catching fire due to poor workmanship and being written off after 1 week. I gave Evans Halshaw the opportunity to replace my vehicle. I was given a less value replacement and lied too on several occasions by the dealer principle and Sales Manager. The service I have received form Evans Halshaw Middlesbrough Vauxhall is appalling and I do not recommend anyone to use this garage.

Middlesbrough Evans Halshaw Ridiculous Customer Service!
I thought evans halshaw was a big name so expected really good customer service but to my shock I was treated like some kind of scavenger as if they were doing me a big favour some how by selling me a car. I went on friday and I phoned before hand and mentioned that I was interested in a particular car. As soon as I entered I noticed most of the employees turning their heads and looking at me over and over again but no one approached me I didnt test drive it that day but told them I would be coming in on monday or Tuesday again to make my mind up I went back on Monday (30 mile journey) and received the same attitude from them, however I expressed the that I definitely am interested in the car and requested a test drive but again to my shock I was told that the car has been preped for a test drive (even though I had already visited them the previous friday regarding the same car) then I was told that another reason why I cant test drive is because the salesman that I spoke to on Friday was not in that day. As if this wasn't bad enough they didn't even say sorry nor did they show the slightest of remorse all they bluntly said was that I could take back my 100 pound deposit. By that time I was clearly agitated so asked for my deposit back which I paid in cash but now I was being told that a check will be sent out to me, this was not explained to me when I gave the deposit on friday. On Tuesday I bought another car from somewhere else but was receiving calls all day from the salesman I had spoken to on friday eventually I picked up and told him that I am not buying the car from them because of their bad attitude and all he had to say was that he will be sending my deposit back to me. No apology and no remorse whatsoever. I still thought this was probably just a bad mistake by them but two days later a close friend of mine had exact same things to about this Middlesbrough branch baded upon his previous experience with them. Very shocked and Dissapointed from a company I had held in esteem.
Don't Trust A Word These Guys Say
These people are the reason why car salesmen have a bad reputation. They blagged about the condition & history of the car, said work had been carried out that blatantly had not and did not care when I expressed my displeasure at having been mislead. They will just wait for the next person to come along who they can dupe into taking a lemon. Wish I could give them 0 stars.

Appalling After Service
I purchased a new Renault Traffic van from the Middlesbrough branch. It was serviced twice at this branch and some months before the warantee was due to expire it was returned to have the faults fixed. On the first occasion it was returned with "no faults found" even though the steering knocking was very evident and the driver's door mirror was not working. It was returned to have the faults fixed just before the warantee expired. After a full day on the forecourt we were told to pick up the van and bring it back as they "were too busy to fix it"!. It was returned just after the warantee expired and we were informed that the repairs would now be chargeable! They would not budge on this and informed me to contact Renault to see if I could recover the costs from them. Their attitude was disgusting!
I took the van away and traded it in against a brand new van from a different manufacturer and dealer. Never again will I buy a Renault and never again will I buy from Evans Halshaw. Disgusting and in my opinion flouting the law!

Shocking Bad
We were missold to twice! Our complaints were ignored!
The agreed for work was not carried out, work that was supposed to have been carried out was not, we tried to complain but all of our attempts at contact have been ignored.
We have reported them to Motor Codes and to Renault.
We paid £900 for work that was not carried out! We will never use this garage ever again!

Would Never Go There Again
BEFORE I START I WOULD NEVER EVEN GIVE THIS ONE STAR
i bought a brand new vauxhall corsa. my first car. was all fine selling me the car, nice and kind. then i get the car home and the problems start. first few weeks i thought the ride was stiff and it was pulling to one side. took to a local garage and explained and asked to take a quick look and give me adivse. the garage found that the steering pin was badly bent and that the transport blocks had been left in. and the drivers side front wheel bearing was going.
i took it back to evans halshaw and they done the usual jargin that they are sorry and will fix it. so i was happy
weeks later it happend again and again i am now on my 4th wheel bearing.
when i got the car it had 0 miles on and it wasnt even road worthy. i am currently in a battle with them and my finance company to sort this matter out. they are saying its my fault and are refusing to pay. but for all the other occasions they repaired it. it makes no sense.
my trim on my car is also changing colour from black to white this only started after they 'repaired' it.
PLEASE IF YOU READ THIS DO NOT GO THERE AND DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM

We Bought A Car In The Middlesbrough. Branch, Pick
We bought a car in the Middlesbrough. Branch, picked it up last week and it was filthy, we're told to bring it back in on the Saturday for a full valet, returned after 2hrs as told, the manger said it would be five mins, waited half an hour. We're then told it hadn't been started on by the manager, then were told together it done ourselves and bring the ill in for a refund, we did all of this and returned on the Monday for the refund, were told there was no money in the shop but it would be dropped at our home later. As I write this three days later I'm still waiting, contacting the manager is a waste of time For your own peace of mind avoid this showroom especially the living manager at all cost.

Used Car Sales Avoid
Firstly THERE IS an issue with the car the valves are tapping and power steering knocks! The Car was booked in to Nissan Doncaster branch (where the car was bought from) issue was reported shortly after sale as well. After few hours i have received a phone call saying that the car sounds perfectly normal for a diesel... now that would be fine but the car is PETROL! After that embarrassing (for the service) phone call i have been told it needs looking at further. After another few hours i have received a phone call saying that "service manager road tested the car and there is no issue with it" How exactly do you road test valves?????? Also explained that power steering knocks when car is stationery (as it would because pump is under pressure then) overall i have given up and taken the car back however i will follow this up as i have discovered another alarming fact- car is rotting underneath!. Overall experience? Well...
