Awful Service
If I could give 0 stars I would! Worst service ever! Nobody is knowledgeable or can even keep their word! Useless is a still nice description! Kept asking for over a week for the same information and pushed it onto the lender which has already accepted all my papers! Get treated like a non human because of being a foreigner and even asked if I really can afford the car! Get laughed at and when I have enough and cancel the car they happy accept that! Lost the cancellation fees for the insurance and gained not just headache and time loss but also a hard search! The seller said things like "oh yes Santander does my head" and "they annoy me so much" instead of reassuring me through the process of buying a new car! They have told me that the car gets back up for sale but it's not! They have lied to me, while the car probably got sold to someone else already, made the process really annoying and hard for me so I will cancel! Absolutely disgusting! Do yourself a favour and keep looking to find the right car somewhere else instead of falling for this horrible people who just wants to make money and more money! Didn't accept my own lender but wanted to use their own which charges three times more and from which they get their portion as well! Disgusting!

Avoid
Contacted regarding a used car, salesman took all my details for a finance application as well as a £100 deposit and never heard from him again! Contacted several times with no response so bought a car elsewhere.
Horrific customer service!!

Useless And Incompetent
Called in today to get a price for a car on contract hire since a friend of mine recently had the same thing. I stated several times I don't want to stay and given the hard sell on a car I just want an idea of prices. After being given the Spanish Inquisition for half an hour and countless trips upstairs to 'crunch numbers' (even thought I had just asked for a price guide) I was then told that they didn't do contract hire? And tried to sell me another type of deal which was twice as expensive! When I asked why he didn't mention the fact they supposedly don't do contact hire (which I'm pretty sure they do) the young inexperienced sales boy just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know. Half an hour of my life I won't get back, thanks for nothing. Think I might try somewhere that actually knows what they're doing

Thought They Was Absolutely Brilliant, our Sales A
Thought they was absolutely brilliant, our sales advisor was absolutely excellent, she couldn't do enough for us , made sure we understood everything before we signed for a new car, she even made sure we got our car on the day they said, even when she wasn't available one of the team went out their way to help us , couldnt be happier I would definitely recommend this company in oak tree Mansfield.

Wouldn't Bother With Them
Absolutely ridiculous, was told that we could pick up our car after a week of waiting, no phone calls the day we were meant to collect. So I rang to be put through to the manager, who is safe to say is arrogant with little to no personal skills at all. Low and behold there was a problem.
Took in the relevant information he said he needed, for my partner to be spoken to like dirt by the same man. Heard nothing for over a week, I had to contact them to be spoken to like a complete idiot and the manager lied saying he spoke to us earlier in the week.
It is appalling!! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. And note to Evans halshaw, you need to retrain your managers. Or alternatively sack him!

Attention To Detail
Went to view '07 Mazda MX5 so booked a slot online and posed a few questions relating to service history/MOT. On arrival, the salesman on duty wasn't aware of the booking, despite a confirmatory email from the dealer. He couldn't provide the info requested, was told that MOT history and service history could be viewed online so, in effect, no attempt was made at answering basic questions relating to the car. Viewed the vehicle, the interior of which was filthy and in a poor state, despite it having been at the garage for at least a couple of weeks (I can only assume that they don't valet some of the cars until sold). To cap it all, the car battery was flat and wouldn't start at all, to which the salesman didn't seem that bothered and even asked if I would like to put down a deposit to secure the car. Needless to say, I walked away at that point, I expected much better from this company. Some concerted effort required on their customer service and communication skills!

Sexist, Expensive And Rude
We visited at the weekend to look at a used car. We tried to get details about the car before traveling the hour+ journey and it was like pulling teeth to get any information. When we arrived the salesman started talking to my fella and completely ignoring me. He only started talking to me when he was informed that the car would be for me. Then, he asked me what I would be using the car for! He hadn't asked my other half what he would use his car for. Not impressed. As all this was going on he was looking at his mobile all the time. In the back of the car on the test drive he was on his phone pretty much the whole time. He wouldn't not budge on the price of the car - apparently Evans Halshaw is the only car dealer in the country that doesn't haggle. The car was in a state inside - outside not too bad, although the door had been resprayed. The boot was also in a state. But still, he would not budge on price. He said he'd get the boot put right but nothing else, then said his manager had said they wouldn't do the boot. He then left us at the desk for nearly 15 minutes, having only gone to get the 3 month warranty details. We walked out in disgust and he then rang saying he'd been trying to get the (invisible) manager to reduce the price. Having been told many times while we there that the manager won't reduce anything, we're more inclined to think he was having to explain to his manager why we wouldn't pay £500 for a warranty to cover us "in case the engine blew up" - his exact words! We've now received two silent calls since our visit. Wouldn't trust this bunch of muppets as far a I could throw them, let alone buy a car from them - ever.

Went To Sell My Car
I made an appointment with the car buying team to value my car with view to a possible sale. Turned up at the showroom only to be told that none of the car buying team were in. The details and test drive was conducted by one of the salesmen who seemed fairly impressed and said he would pass on details to the car buying team when they were in, that's the last I heard. I chose this way to sell the car because I didn't want to be messed about by people not turning up, turns out Evans Halshaw are just as bad. Really poor follow up service.

Evans Halshaw Mansfield Terrible Manager.
Having just bought a 10.5k car from this garage we were offered nothing more in their so called deal than a cup of terrible machine made coffee. There was no fuel in the car there was no tax offered and not even a full years MOT given. Astonishing but because the deal had been done over the phone with my eagar 19 year old son and we had driven over 450 miles to get this car, they sold him warrentry charged him for the checks on the car including the outstanding finance check another £100, the bodywork check the mechanical check and anything else they could add on oh yes their very own version is the AA road over to an additional tune of £349 + vat and they added all this on to the finance. What a bunch of greedy tight fisted sods..They knew they had us over a barrel as my son would have done anything to make sure he went home with this car. So Evans Harshaw shame on you. I hope you get the dirty on you ten fold. It wouldn't have been much to put some fuel in the tank for his 450 mile drive home would it!
As it happens the number plate fell off on the way home the seat belt retrievers don't work there are chocolate stains in the back where the seatbelt so fit in both sides and nothing was explained about the operating of the car. We got not MOT certificate apparently this is normal I had to ask for a copy of everything they didn't even give us information on there recovery sale at 349 + VAT for driving all they way home we got a photocopy of someone else's with the phone number on it. And Addam the manager wondered why I wasn't happy. Well let's hope it was worth it. I would not recommend this garage to anyone and would have walked away if it had not been for our sales man who tried for us and the fact we had traveled so far. Poor kid you took him for everything.
