Great Service

A great selection of new and used cars. The sales person i dealt with was in no way pushy. He gave me the information i needed in understandable terms, without jargon. The carwas ready on time for my collection and all paperwork had been completed.

Well done, would buy from them again.

Salesman Clearly Didn't Want My Money ... So I Took It Away.

Probably the worst service I have ever received on a dealer forecourt. I arrived with the funds lined up for a cash buy, a very specific set of priorities, a real enthusiasm to buy the car and no need for a trade-in. Yet the salesman couldn't even be bothered to find a tape measure so I could see if my dog's crate would fit. Even the ruler on his desk would have helped but he couldn't wait to get rid of me. I am truly insulted but also puzzled. What was it that made him walk away from potentially the easiest sale he had made all day? The fact that I am female? Or not young? Or driving a basic car (that will be handed over to a nephew as soon as its replacement arrives). Or a churlish belief that everyone is a tyre-kicker unless they beg to prove otherwise? Or just that he couldn't be a***d! Anyway, I am off to a nearby competitor to test drive a £9000 car later today. The appointment was fixed with a sales manager who bothered to ask my name and to find out what I was looking for. And if the car is as good as it sounds, it will be coming home this week.

Selling A Ford Fusion

On Sunday 1st July, I took my 10reg blue Ford Fusion by appointment to EH Cramlington for a valuation and inspection prior to selling. Unfortunately due to high workload on the computer calculating the valuations, it was not possible to obtain a valuation that day. The member of staff took my telephone number. 8 days later they have still not got back to me. On the Monday and Tuesday, I phoned numerous times asking for the lady who deals with these matters to contact me. As she was never available I had to leave messages which she has refused to answer. On the Wednesday I phoned early in the morning again no reply. SO I gave up , contacted WEbuyanycar.com and sold the car within 2 hours. Needless to say I am unlikely to go anywhere near EH again.

Worst Of The Worst

Bought a car off these. There was a fault in the paintwork. Got the usual "well this is a used car" B'S. Then got offered a "special deal" on the servicing.....Problee the same price for a bentley.

Robbers, liars.

Steer well clear at all costs.

Having Been In Sales And Sales Management For Over

Having been in sales and sales management for over 11 years I can honestly and professionally advice you to stay well clear. Last weekend me and the wife had decided that we were going to buy a nearly new car having visited and had a great experience at another Vauxhall dealer in Ashington I saw a cracking deal on the there website and decided to visit them, braving 6" of snow in the process. When I entered the showroom the salesman made no eye contact with me or the wife, his general body language suggested that he did not want to be there never the less I continued to tell him which car I was interested in and what my budget was. At this point I was expecting to be shown the car and have the sales person attempt to build a relationship with me, instead he and the sales manager went to value my car when they returned they put a package on the screen including around 6 other add on's such as GAP insurance, diamond bright paint protection and more, the price was well over the internet OTR price and to add insult to injury he valued my car £300 less than the people at Ashington had and continued to attempt to show me Auto traders website (a tool that I would not expect a dealer to use). This put the sale well over my budget so I continued to inform him what my budget was and that I could not go over it. At this point the sales manager shouted out from his office "no I cant do it". At this point i felt around 2 foot tall so walked out. I then visited Bristol Street Motors who were fantastic, the salesman showed me the cars I was looking for before talking through a deal and valuing my old car he give me £500 more than Evan Helshaw offered and did me a brand new 60 reg Astra for a lower price than Evan Helshaw offered on a second hand one. Please stay well clear of this dealer visit Bristol Street Motors or tunstain motors in Ashington they are leagues better

I Have Bought My Last 2 Cars From Evans Halshaw Cr

I have bought my last 2 cars from Evans Halshaw Cramlington, so when it came to my partner wanting a new car the 1st place we went to was Evans Halshaw. We have been having issues for the past 2 weeks with securing a new car with them, the 1st one failed prep after it was put on the website for sale, the next 4 cars we quite liked we had to chase the dealer to find out if they were available, by the time they got back to us the cars had sold. Finally on Saturday we found another car which was great, the finance had been approved and the car was taken off sale. Today we had 2 phone calls - 1 to say the car was in the workshop having the gearbox repaired and the finance papers would be there to sign within 1-2 days, the 2nd was to say unfortunately we typed the wrong occupation for you and now the finance has been declined. The worst of it is the car my partner did have was sold privately on Saturday afternoon as everything had been confirmed for the new car and guess what now my partner doesn't have a car and will not be getting a car. This is an absolute farce and has been handled with complete incompetence. These salesmen are complete idiots and the Sales Manager talks to women as though they are retards and could not possibly know anything about cars! Even though this was their error they are still denying having any envolement in the incorrect details being processed. I won't be be going back to this garage for any future cars and would advise anyone wanting to get a car to avoid this dealer like the plague, they are an absolute joke!
