Fantastic, Smooth Experience Of Buying A New Car Cheaply

I Contacted Dealdrivers On Xmas Eve 2009 To Order

I contacted Dealdrivers on Xmas eve 2009 to order a new Volvo xc90, which was advertised at nearly £10000 off the list price, and £5000 less thanany dealer would quote me direct.

The dealer contacted me the same morning and within an hour the order was placed.

I am confused at previous negative criticism, and can't help but feel the authors have missed the whole point and ethos of the company- all they do is funnel orders to a dealer and in doing so obtain a price the private punter can't hope to achieve.

I ended up dealing with the same dealership but at a great price- thousands less than a secondhand model on the forecourt.

I have recommended Dealdrivers to several friends this year, all of whom have saved a lot of money.

If you don't like their service, don't whinge, walk away

As Most Reviewers Have Previously Mentioned, If Yo

As most reviewers have previously mentioned, if you have any qualms about buying a new car from the internet, then Deal Drivers will soon put your mind at ease. They are totally professional, know exactly what they're talking about, as if you were talking to the dealers themselves

I ordered a VW Golf on the last working day before Christmas 2009, i knew that being a popular model there would be a fair lead time which was not an issue, having taken all my requirements it was less than 2 hours before the dealer was in touch to confirm the order and take a deposit.

Spin on 3 months later, the car had arrived at the dealer and a phone call duly arrived saying i could pick up the car at my leisure, VW also gave me a free weeks insurance to allow me time to sort my own. Having to travel from Somerset to North London was not a problem in fact it was great fun taking the train as the station is 10mins walk from the dealer! A nice comfy drive home topped off the day and no doubt gave the car a good run, which i would probably think would be better than a short journey from a local dealer!

All in all i have no hesitation recommending Deal Drivers to anyone as at the end of the day, using them costs nothing and saved me in excess of £2000 off the price i would have paid had i walked into a dealer off the street

Great Service And No Problems. I Was Looking For

Great service and no problems. I was looking for a cheap delivery milage car and had decided on a Fiat Panda 1.1 active eco in white. I had been looking for a few days and the cheapest I could get was £5988 on the road. Then dealdrivers.co.uk appeared at the top of my daily google search offering the car i wanted for £5575 on the road no hidden costs. I took the quote into my local Fiat dealer in Scotland who told me he couldn't match it and didn't even bother making me an offer.

I completed the online form and was contacted by phone that day by a Fiat Dealer in Sheffield, after looking his number up and calling him back to make sure it wasn't a con i paid my deposit. I recieved my order details through the post a few days later and just over a week later i drove down from Scotland and uplifted the car with a total cost of £85 on fuel for driving down and back.

The car was exactly what I expected and there was no hidden surprises, even had over quarter of a tank of fuel in it!

All in all a very easy to use service that cost me nothing and saved me over £300.

I would recomend Dealdrivers to anyone.

It Is With Great Regret I Have Felt So Strongly To

It is with great regret I have felt so strongly to write this review. Im normally a mild mindered fellow, but feel that I truly need to share my experience with this company.

I have been looking for a new car for my wife for a considerable time. I have visited many dealerships, test driven cars and narrowed my selection down top either an Audi A3 Tdi or the new Golf. After narrowing my search down, i then began to look on the internet to see if I could save any money. I looked at many many websites, some good, some bad. What I initially liked about the Dealdrivers facility was that I didnt have to pay them any money-sort of felt safe (ish) rather than some others. I found the website fairly complicated, a bit all over the place with lots of text here and there. I did recieve two quotes, one for each car I was interested in by e mail, which seemed ok and left me for something to think about.

As September 60 plate approached, and as my wifes birthday was in december, I decided to proceed and called Dealdrivers on Friday 27th August to place my order.Unfortunatley their office was closed as it was after 5pm. So I tried again Saturday-closed..Bank holiday Monday- closed (fair enough people are entitled too). So I tried on Tuesday 31st August- got an answerphone message saying they were too busy to take any calls. Tried again September 1st- again, same blunt answerphone message. Their was also a message on their website that stated they were too busy dealing with "firm orders" to take any phone calls.I was very frustrated so left them an answerphone message saying that I had actually rang up to order a car and was dissapointed that they didnt have the facility to answer the phone during the day time. AFter this, I then made a simple call to another on line company who provided me a similar quote and assurances I needed and placed my order.

Dealdrivers on their website seem very good to criticise other internet based website and seem to actually spend more time "advising" people who not to buy from than giving reasons to use their system.I actually find this quite off-putting and question the reasons by this. Surely it is better to emphasise your own companys benefits than highlighting others alleged faults? It is noted that dealdrivers do have their own premises,as advised on their webpages but on closer inspection these are simply rented and do not actually provide any comfort for a prospective purchase at all as they have no real infastructure.

As well as e mails, I had also benn following dealdrivers on the social network site "twitter". To my further dissapointment, the following "tweets" appeard, which confirmed to me how little they actually value a customer and their opinions. I find this discgracefull:

We shall look forward to him calling again today & tell him where to go, if he can be bothered! Sounds a seriously miserable bloke.

10:08 AM Sep 2nd via web

Arrived to find an incredibly miserable rude ansaphone message in office, what gets into people when they can't have what they want?

10:06 AM Sep 2nd via web

ALl I wanted to do was order a car from a company, who try to give an impression they are proffesional enough to handle a huge purchase and important to me as was for my wifes birthday.Im actually pleased I didnt buy from them as i dont believe they have a proffesional business infastructure to look after me correctly. On the very week the new number plate had changed, they were closed saturday,sunday,monday- didnt take calls tuesday or wednesday, then closed early on friday for a charity event (which I understand is important) then closed again saturday and sunday. They do have their own premises, yet you have to make an appointment to go and see them which isnt exactly inviting or reassuring and they only open (take calls) 4 days a week anyway. The whole business in my opinion and my experience seems to be run as a hobby rather than a professional business outlet.

I am very pleased with the company who I dealt with who seem to have a professional business with infastructure. I dont feel it appropriate to name this company as this review is not about them.

Im Sure dealdrivers will respond with comments to this review defending themselves, I only hope they appologise for thier insluting and derogitary comments made on the social network site which I believe to be totally unproffesional and innapropriate for any business to write such comments and shows how they truly valued my potential custom

In reply to this customer.

The customer called to enquire about ordering an Audi, this is a make we no longer offer pricing for so it already was not offered on our website which he had checked before calling. The customer also called the office on a bank holiday weekend (the office was closed)and on a Wednesday (Sept 1st), which our website also states clearly are periods/days of the week when we are closed. So the customer only phoned 1 day when the office was actually open and available to take calls (Tues 31st). We are sorry that the phone lines were all busy on this day when the customer tried to call.

The business had volunteered to help support and organise a cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands End in aid of raising money for CLIC Sargent (childrens cancer charity), with an aim to raise £20,000. The ride took place during the week in question, and a lot of resources were taken up supporting this hugely important charity event. The details were on nearly every page of our website to explain we were involved in it with our staff that week.

The message which was left on our answerphone by this gentleman was very long and rather rude, despite updates appearing on our website with opening times and notes stating how unusually busy the office was due to normal workloads on top of the resources being put to use for the charity event.

Whilst the office is open 4 days a week to take phone calls, e-mail and website enquiries can be taken on other days of the week, and will be answered as soon as possible.

We are sorry the gentleman did not get the service they would expect, and would usually be given. Had the details on our website been taken in, then the gentleman would have been aware of the events and opening hours of the office during the week in question, and may not have felt the need to have left such an answerphone message for us to pick up on.

To Begin With Deal Drivers Were Very Good, Quoted

To begin with deal drivers were very good, quoted us a price with options, estimation of delivery date

details of how they operate and advice on colour options. Having decided to purchase we were contacted by the dealer who explained everything again and was pleased to take our deposit. Less than 24 hrs later we get a call advising that ford had not updated their systems and either accept another colour and less options or get a refund. Not the level of service we expected and will now stear clear as the car was sold on assumptions not facts

DealDrivers

DealDrivers response to review. Please take note of this information when reading this customers review.

DealDrivers were quoting this customer on a strictly limited edition vehicle, a Fiesta S1600. This vehicle was limited to 650 units for the UK, 150 in Frozen White and 500 in Performance Blue.

The customer wanted Frozen White (so only 150 available), and had requested a number of extras, meaning there was not a stock vehicle to offer to match the customers spec'. The vehicle would therefore need to be ordered from the factory.

First contact from customer was 09/05/10, and the customer decided to order on 08/06/10. The customer was aware of the very limited production and that they would need to be quick from the outset, but took a month before deciding to order.

The Ford dealer had not been notified by Ford that all of the very limited production for this model had been sold or confirmed to build, meaning that no more new orders could be placed. Therefore, the Ford dealer rightly believed they would be able to place the order for the customer.

The Ford dealer contacted customer and took their deposit, as required, to place the order. When they then attempted to order the vehicle with Ford, they were only at that point advised that production was full, and the order could not be placed.

The Ford dealer then contacted the customer to offer some alternatives available from stock (one in Frozen White with 1 of the customers requested extras, and one in Performance Blue with all but 2 of the customers requested extras), or to refund the customers deposit in full. The customer took the latter option, and the dealer has refunded the deposit in full, with no penalty to the customer.

We feel the review from the customer to be somewhat unfair given the circumstances of trying to secure one of just 150 cars, and dealers having to have a firm deposit before trying to order one. We are sorry the driver has chosen to blame our own company for the situation, especially after taking a month to decide to order, when fully aware of just how limited this vehicle was.

Having Never Bought A Car Via The Internet I Was A

Having never bought a car via the internet I was a bit wary, but with dealdrivers I had no problems at all, it was like buying a car direct from your dealer but for a lot less money.

I contacted dealdrivers for the purchase of my vehicle, a Land Rover Freelander 2, and within 24 hours I was contacted by the dealer, Hunters of Guildford, and that was it. I had to collect the car from Guildford but with the cost saving that was the least of my worries and the handover of the vehicle went smoothly, just like my drive home.

I would recommend this method to anyone, I didn't think it was going to be that easy.

Many Thanks To Anson & Ken At Deal Drivers, Their

Many thanks to Anson & Ken at Deal Drivers, their knowledge and expertise was first class. Special thanks to Ken for putting me in touch with a VW Dealer in London within 2 hours of our committment to buy. We ordered a VW Eos in March 2010 which was delivered last week in mint condition from a North London Fleet Dealer. Their Salesman dealt with our order in such a professional & friendly manner, the total experience from begininng to end took the stress and strain out of dealing with local franchise dealers, with a saving on their price of approximately £1,500. Would recommend Deal Driver without reservationl. Many thanks George.

There Are Circumstances When You Should Be Wary.in

There are circumstances when you should be wary.In some cases their prices may not be valid.

If the car has to be factory ordered and the order time takes you into the next financial (i.e manufacturer 'marketing support'...discount!) quarter, then the prices DealDrivers quote are not guaranteed.

To be fair they admit this when questioned.

My experience of Dealdrivers is that if its a simple stock transaction the staff are interested, if it needs a little effort and time then they area bit like boiler house sales staff.

As Many On This Web Site, I Was Nervous About Goin

As many on this web site, I was nervous about going on line to a broker, but the experience was excellent. I reckon I saved about £2K on the book price for a new Golf, so I am very happy.

Ended up getting it through a fleet sales department from a large garage in Yorkshire and had to pay to get it transported to Scotland.

Would definitely recommend Deal Drivers and am already doing so to people I know !!

Only down side was no mats and flaps - I will ask for them next time (more of a dealer issue that this web site though).
