Please Avoid We Wish We Had
Dealing with a car dealer that fails to uphold promises and refuses to enter mediation should be a thing of the past unfortunately moral values feature very lowly at crosslands vehicle sales. Our car had problems with the headlights that were made aware to there manager on collecting the vehicle. Despite his promise to source replacement parts we are still waiting despite us writing them 2 letters each offering mediation we are no further forward and regrettably have now had to instigate court proceedings to recover money to take remedial action. in this day and age it in unbelievable that a garage still has an Arthur Daley outlook on the motor trade but that is something that Crosslands obviously have no qualms about ithey are still stuck in a time warp when it comes to customer care

In 30 years dealing with Clients and Used cars it is rare to come across a customer who decides to fabricate issues with a 6 year old Alfa Romeo that had been fully and Independently inspected and MOT'd (with no advisory's). We as yet had no evidence, photos or independent report regarding condensation in the headlights even though I believe he took the car to his local Alfa Romeo Specialist not long after he took delivery and all they could find was a slight Tracking issue that we were happy to resolved quickly for £25 (although we had no report).
This customer travelled over 200 miles to collect the vehicle almost certainly because he could not find better example nearer?
Obviously his local Specialist could not..
No promise was made at the time of sale by our staff regarding replacing headlights and in18 years of employment I have never doubted my Sales Manager's honesty and integrity regarding this matter.
We are perfectly within our rights to reject any claim towards replacing perfectly working parts for what is a minor cosmetic issue on a Used Car.
However ,a 'Good will' gestures have been made towards replacing the 6 year old 'used'headlights but it has been rejected.
Nothing more than two new headlights will do for this customer,which we find unreasonable.
I would feel more inclined to 'help' a customer who does NOT leave poor and inaccurate reviews but with these matters we try to deal with them calmly and professionally.
I suggest that this particular customer buys a new car in future,typically 4 times what he paid for the excellent example we supplied...

Dealing with a car dealer that still believes in old fashioned values isnt an easy thing to achieve in this day and age but that is something that Hugh from Crosslands obviously still believes in.
An extremely friendly and professional company that I would have absolutely no hessitation in recommending to my friends and family.

Honest ,reliable ,friendly
Crosslands have been trading for years ,they are not a fly by night 5 minute wonder. I would say over the years our family have probably purchased at least 10 vehicles from Crosslands .They might not always be the cheapest out there but if there is ever a problem it is sorted out straight away with out fuss.I would recommend Crosslands .They do what they say and you have a 100% after sales service.

Excellent Person To Deal With
We sold our car to crosslands last week and what a pleasure it has been to deal with such a nice person. Hugh made us an offer to buy our car on dealerbid.co.uk and arranged to collect from our home.
The car was collected on Friday 19th July (Land Rover Discovery) and payment was made straight into our account which was confirmed by our bank.
We had been given the run around previously by another well known car buying company so it was a nice experience to deal with someone honest to kept to his word with what he would pay for our car.
