This is sort of an indirect review. My brother bought a car for over 2k from c and n in november 2014, had no trouble with it whatsoever since then, still has it, and found the company to be very transparent in the sale description. Based on this, I would have no hesitation in buying a car from them myself. I'm rather confused by some of the unfavourable reviews.

This place is to be avoided like the plague. Not just the company name, but whatever guy has crawled out from under the rock there. DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN A CAR FROM THESE GUYS. (They change their name of the Ltd company quite regularly to avoid debtors).

I had broken promise after broken promise, lies and never any calls back.

I am sure the "warranty" that has been offered is not worth the scrap of paper it it written on, but luckily I have a great garage that can look after the car for me.

So the best part was, the car was delayed because of needing two new tyres and a numberplate for the MOT. When the car turned up, it was still with the same two new tyres ( it has them as advisories on the MOT form) AND the numberplate bear the name of this company - so probably done in house.

He has not PDQ facility (probably taken off him by the banks) and even Autotrader don't let him list any more - so he uses gumtree or passing trade to suck in his victims

Lies lies and more lies, built on a tissue of lies.

So PLEASE everyone, do yourself a favour DON'T use this guy.

This guy gets away with it because his business partner is an ex cop.bent no doubt.and knows all the loop holes.

Bought a car from here in April 2016 and it's already at the scrap yard . Been nothing but trouble from the start . Shocking customer service to go with it . My advice is to shop somewhere else . Not worth the money nor the time or even the heartbreak .

Bought a toyota yaris end of august 2016 as I had some issues commuting to work so didnt get much time to look for second hand cars so found them via autotrader. Initially i thought i'd come to right place as they were selling loads of cheap second hand cars as I didnt have much budget eventually settling on the toyota yaris so I came back to pick it up the following weekend and upon receving the car it was not cleaned or hovered. It looked like they had not touched it since they bought the car from the prev owner as it was filled with dog hair/ smell and dust everywhere and just untidy in general. I noticed that the backlight on the driver side was cracked and the guy who sold us the car said dont worry we will change it, when we purchased the car and when we came to pick it up he said come back nect week which we did and still nothing. So i kept ringing every other week and he would pick up saying oh so and so is not here or i will ask them to call back and still nothing! I finally got hold of th girl whos im charge of sorting out the spare parts and she said it will be there next week, still no calls so when i ramg again she said its on its way and i just got hold of her number but the seller/ owner? Of the company was giving me her number and he just hung up before i could clarify the number! How rude!

But anyway upon questing this girl she said she has no idea and was asking me who i spoke to and i told her it her i spoke to and that she'd told me she'd ring me once the part had arrived. This was on the 21.09.2016 so let see if she calls tomorrow coz now shes saying that the mechanics havent recieved it although the product has already been delivered and that shes sorting it out! Honeslty, their service is absolutely shocking! And they are so unhelpful and awfully rude on the phone! Would really advise others to beware of this company!

We bought our car (Audi A Class) from C & N Autos a few weeks ago. The car looked great on the advert, & was perfect for our budget but as we live many miles from C & N we had to take the word of the staff that it was immaculate, and that it was working fine. We arranged for the car to be delivered to Devon for a charge (fair enough) & it arrived on the day & time as promised. It saved us so much trouble as we had no car. The condition was perfect, and a few weeks on, the car is running perfectly. We took a gamble trusting someone from so far away, but C & N were an honest, reliable, company to deal with & we would recommend them to anyone. Very happy with the excellent service, Thank you.

I've been waiting a very long time for this company to refund my money for a faulty car, but they've refused to reply despite several attempts to get my money back.

Good companies will call the customer, apologise for the issues, and present you with better offers, or refund your money if there are no other options available. Good companies will NEVER sell a vehicle that is Road- unworthy/ very faulty.

I don't understand how anyone can be so heartless as to take money away from struggling and hardworking people knowing they sold a product that doesn't work at all. It doesn't matter if the vehicle was cheap or expensive.

First of all... full disclosure is important, but they never disclose the faults with the vehicles. The buyer has the right to know what is wrong with the vehicle.

Secondly, none of the clients are buying these cars as collectors’ items to store at home; we need vehicles that run, and don't endanger us, our family and other road users. These aren't simply cosmetic damages; we're talking about severe engine issues.

Businesses like this shouldn't be allowed to operate. If they keep getting away after committing such atrocities with little or no repercussion, they'll be unlikely to clean up their act.

Do they even care about the risks their vehicles pose to people or does a fat bank account erase all feelings of guilt.

Where’s Trading Standards when you need them? It's a shame how broken down the system is and their inability to shut this company down permanently despite all these complaints.

With so many dissatisfied clients on almost every motor vehicle board on the internet??? Go figure.

To all of you still waiting for your refund, or repairs done on your vehicles, don’t give up… KEEP FIGHTING. You worked hard for your money, and shouldn’t have to put up with that.

C & N automotive sold a car to my son, had nothing but trouble with it. Took it back within 3 days for them to fix and they kept the car for over a month still had trouble with it after we had it back, took it to a good garage and we found out it was a CAT D write off and the garge told us the car was unsafe to drive as they obviously hadnt carried out any repairs after the write off. We paid over £750 for this car less than a year later with all the facts about this car it is not worth much more than £150. .They should have advertised it as a CAT D write off and priced it accordingly also should have carried out the repairs on the car in order to sell it safely.Do not buy from these rip off merchants that sell unsafe cars

Thought i would write a review as i saw some very negative ones which naturally worried me however the service i got was good and I think that people should realise that cars go wrong especially cheap ones I Bought a 20 year old porsche boxster from this garage 2 weeks ago and they worked hard to put a new roof on it plus front window which took a little time plus cost on their side ,I booked my train from Derby to go and they met me and my son at the station a really nice lady took us to the garage

The after sales guy was great returned my calls as i had a couple of issues with the car and the man at the garage was fair in sorting out the issues i had even though i was a pain calling alot they are a very busy garage

I think they have been very straight in the dealings i had with them

I would be happy to purchase another car from them if they wanted me to !
