Shambles

They are supposed to be repairing my sons car, they have had it for weeks and cant repair it. They have no idea what is wrong with it and have no idea how to fix it. The car is covered by warranty, but recently they have claimed the warranty isn't valid due to dodgy wiring/repairs that they apparently "discovered" after having the car for 6 weeks. Why did it take 6 weeks to discover that? They are either incompetent or untrue (previously they told us that they had checked the wiring and it was all good but suddenly it isn't), IMO they are both but either one isn't good.

Buyer Be Aware

very helpful until you buy the car and then they don.t go that extra mile to help . bought a astra gtc . 2012 . delivered . due to living a hundred miles away that cost me 100 pounds . found a oil leak . so took it to a independent manic . who said in a report . had a small oil leak on the sump between the gear box and it made a clunking noise when changing gear . will get worse over the coming year . so i called the dealership . they said the car should have been thou rally checked . and assured me it will be sorted . took it to a ford dealer who are apart of Hyundai. they just fobbed me off saying it was miner but as i said it will eventually go and i will have to foot the bill . as i payed for the car already. plus they did not even check the gear box noise . had to get the work done this week because i noticed it was loosing more oil . cost me 1200 in total . when paying 7000 for a car you expect a dealership to make sure you are paying for a car that will need no work . otherwise you may as well just go to a back street dealership. i bought from them because of there reviews . but i was wrong .

Gret Service, Until Youve Handed Over Your Money

Absolute jokers. Got messed around for weeks, had to constantly chase them. Promised call backs that never happened.I told the sales manager I expect them to eat a cost as it's a small cost and something promised which they then double backed on. Was told they wouldnt be absorbing the cost. Terrible after sales service.

Theyre much more pleasant to buy a car from than most garages but after theyve sold they just dont want to know about it. Make no mistake, theyre like any other hard sales garage with bad customer service. They just have a nicer smile.

Very Bad Renault Servicing At Bristol Street Motors.

After the co-op group and the Renault dealership diapered and became Bristol street Hyundai I asked, and was told they would do the Renault servicing and they had a Renault service desk inside the building, my motor had a Terrible screech on front nearside wheel, asked them to look at it during a service, This was not sorted so re booked the car back in just to have the front examined to get rid of the excessively loud noise probably from the brake, I have been driving for more than forty years so I have a good idea of what is making such a loud screech and squeal, On collection of my motor the desk assistant informed me that they had changed my back brake disks?????????.

When I asked about the problem I had booked the car in for I got a reply that seemed to be a total brush off, Problem not solved!!!!!!.

My son took his Renault in and was quoted £1800 to fix it, He had a second opinion from another time served and very reputable garage, he had his car fixed for £250 and was told the rest of the Quoted problems where totally unnecessary! I will never use or recommend Bristol street motors servicing again, If I wanted a Hyundai I would buy it from a garage with better aftercare.

Excellent Customer Service And Patience, Thanks Darren!!

My husband and I had been looking for a car to buy for a number of months, we live in Ireland so the cost of new and used cars is ridiculously high. My husband began the search in the UK, we had bought a car this way previously and it proved totally worth while. Once we decided what car we were actually looking for he started to look for the car! We finally found "the one" in Bristol Street, Mansfield. We dealt online and by text with Darren and arranged the date to pick it up. When we arrived Darren had the car ready to go, he was so professional and organised it was a pleasure dealing with him. He had oodles of patience and a great sense of humour but most of all he had expert knowledge of selling cars! When the time comes to buy a car again we will definitely go back!!! Thanks Daz, the Daltons.

Refreshingly Different Car Buying Experience

Brilliant. My wife needed a new car and to trade in her old one, seemingly on its last legs. I've bought plenty of cars before and I really don't relish the generally awful experience of car buying. Having mostly had German cars before - Mercedes and Audi - that had cost a fortune and still had problems that are expensive to fix, we wanted something with a long warranty.

On recommendation of my mother, who's had a Hyundai for 3 years and loves it, we visited Bristol Street Motors, Hyundai, in Mansfield. I was expecting the "ignore them for 5 minutes than ask them what their budget is" approach.

But no! We were asked if we needed any help, pointed in the right direction and told to just ask if we wanted any more information. When we did this, there were no daft and annoying questions, no pressure selling. We were given a trade in for the car and shown the parker's guide to prove a fair price was being offered.

Within a couple of hours, we'd drunk numerous free coffees and paid a deposit on a Hyundai i30 to collect the next day, following agreed fabric and paint protection treatment. The day after we picked the car up, we received a polite follow up call, just to check everything was ok.

Fabulous service and a great car. Avoid the annoying dealers and give this dealer a go. Incredibly, I actually enjoyed the experience, and never for one second, felt someone was trying to do anything but get me a great deal that I'd be happy with. Avoid the stress - highly recommended!

I have bought a car from them and me and the dealer agreed for the car to be delivered to London where I live. The dealer told me that he will call me the next day to tell me when the car will be delivered. So the next day came, and no phone call from the dealer(his name is Mario). So I waited for the next day and I had a call from General manager of Darlington branch and I have explained the situation:I have £500 deposit taken from my credit card,I was told that I will be notified when my car will be delivered but I did't hear from Mario who promised to call me back.So the general manager told me that he will talk to him about my car.The general manager told me that he will call me back after he told me that he will put one of his technician to inspect de car again afer I've told him that if I find anything wrong with the car (when it was due to be delivered to me)I won't buy the car so he told me he understand and he will get back to me.

So the next day I have talked to the general manager of Bristol Motors Darlington Branch who told me that he can't sell me the car because his technician discovered a oil leak and they will have to take the head gasket down and strip it all down...I have been told that I will get a refund which I did in the end today after I've been messed up and waited for 4 days for a car which it implies to me in the end that they were trying to sell me a faulty car....nice practice Bristol Motors,A Vertu Company as it's stated on their website....

It is a shame thous because I thought that the customer service operator(Bob is it's name) tried to be very helpful with all my queries and he did his job very well,a true professional indeed, shame about the others!

So if you ever come across with Bristol Motors/A Vertu Company and you want to buy a car from them,I suggest to you to look elsewhere to avoid a lot of hassle!

Bristol Motors/A Vertu Company,NEVER AGAIN!!!
