Terrible Dealer

We bought a car from Skoda Newcastle, they rang and asked me did I want Supaguard finish on upholstery and paint for only £300, I said yes. When I picked up the car I was presented with a 'top up box' of applicant, let me tell you this was no top up. It was only when I washed it a few days later that I noticed no 'beading' on the water as you get if polished. It was fairly obvious they hadn't done the work yet had charged me for it. In all along with some other major items involved I would strongly recommend to give these 'Arthur Daleys' a wide berth.

Foreigners Should Avoid

wearside audi cant differentiate between different foriengers making an enquiry on the same vehicle (maybe employ a foreigner? who is able to communicate well with non english people then maybe the dealership wont feel soo run down lol) - overpriced used cars, they use libary pictures with the number plates edited by paint/photoshop to suit the description (as the cars they hold look like they have just come out of a scrap yard, they will put part worn tyres on and dispute thier own 145 point check on the car lol), the most depressing dealership i have ever entered into, family and freinds are due to change thier fleet of cars from BMW to AUDI but now reconsidering due to the poor benfield motor group owning tyneside/newcastle/wearside audi. they are unprofessional and seem to be out of thier depth running the audi brand. they try to portray themselfs as flagship audi even though they only own the 3 dealerships in the north east, everyone should avoid buying cars from audi north east due to poor quality deals. head south everyone where a more positive attitude can be found with discounts.

look at the 1st post Written on: 16/01/2014 we are non brits (even though born here) and i think that is clear enough infact more clear than some locals we deal with, we are just here to get the money and go lol not being offensive to jabb78 but never seen your type buy cars with cash outright always seems to be the beggers route of finance/lease. hope to see your type outside the uk spending like you dont care - it would be a first!!!! next holiday butlins?

I could not disagree more. Perhaps, and this is not meant offensively, you could learn to communicate in better English. After all you are living in England.

Benfield Ford - Kirkstall Rd - Leeds - Purchase Of

Benfield ford - Kirkstall rd - leeds - purchase of ford mondeo zetec tdci 2009.

I was looking to buy a new Ford Mondeo Zetec TDCI and saw one on the website that had just been reduced. I took a look and the condition was excellent and the test drive was good. After a bit of haggling I bought the car and arranged to pick it up in a few days. While I went through the service book before the sale I noticed that service "1 and 2" were blank and service 3 had its stamp ok. The salesman assured me that the car had been serviced and that that he would organise the book to be stamped by the previous owners (hire car company) that did thier own servicing.

On picking the car up and taking it for its 1st high speed drive I noticed that the steering wheel was vibrating at 60-70mph (telltale sign that the wheels needed balancing) so I asked benfield if they could sort this out and they said yes but it would be the following day (which I couldnt do so I took it do kwikfit and they did it free of charge).

The service book had to be posted back to the previous owner to get stamped, then the guy that was supposed to stamp it was on holiday. After many phone calls/confusion and many days later I got the service book fully stamped as promised.

I also noticed that some of the interior platic trim had come loose on the front passenger side, so when I picked up the service book I told benfields and they sorted it out for free and it looks perfect.

Overall I am very pleased with the car and its value. However the whole "service book" situation was stressful and not ideal as I was left wondering if the car had missed its initial 2 services until it was resolved, but it all got sorted out in the end !!! :)
