I've had this for a few years now, but the day I bought it I rode home wearing it, and thought, "This is loud!" It's the wind-rush around the outside which is noisy, and adding the "whisper kit" does little to make things quieter. I'm a musician and ex-bike racer, my hearing was either ruined by noisy drummers, or from following full-race exhausts, but this helmet is still loud!
Having said that, I love the convenience of the flip-up when fuelling up or paying tolls. The Multitec is a bit on the heavy side, and it's taken a long time to "bed-in" to my head shape - it's a snug fit on my large head, and needs a tug to get it on.
In the past I've worn Shoei, Arai and Shark, and this has the comfy Shoei well-padded lining, compared to the others.
Now I'm looking for a lighter, modular helmet for sunny Sunday rides; the Shoei will stay, for longer motorway trips.
