Mtv moved me to my second foor flat in December 2010. If my broadband supplier had been as reliable, then I would have written this sooner.

Mike and his guys were on time, efficiant and friendly.

Nothing was too much trouble and I have recommended them to a friend already and she was delighted with the price and MTV are moving them in two weeks time.

We had a very unpleasant experience with MTV Removals Kirkcaldy. They are a lot cheaper than other removal companies in Kirkcaldy, but there is a reason for this as they are very unreliable. Their staff are also extremely rude and unhelpful.

On the day of our move MTV removals were booked to start moving us between 12 and 1pm.

By 3pm they still had not arrived so I phoned the owner and was told they would not arrive until sometime between 4pm and 5pm.

We were under a lot of time pressure to move as we have a 1 year old son and I asked for a discount on the price. At this point the owner flew into a rage and asked what we would do if they decided not to turn up. After giving me a tirade of abuse he then hung up the phone.

My wife phoned MTV removal's head office to find out what was happening but they did not phone us back to let us know if someone would turn up.

MTV removals did not show up in the end, so we were left to try to hire a van to move ourselves at 4pm on a Fri night.

Unable to get a van, I had to move all of our belongings myself in the car with the help of a neighbour and then had to borrow a van from a friend the next day. We were a day late moving out of our home and this created an enormous amount of stress for us, along with the added work of moving everything ourselves when we should have been unpacking.

When I phoned to ask for our deposit back MTV Removals were once again extremely rude to me. We're currently initiating legal action to get our deposit returned from MTV removals.

I would strongly advise you not to use MTV Removals. Although MTV Removals are a lot cheaper than other removal companies in Kirkcaldy it is better to pay a bit more and have a move that goes smoothly rather than endure the stress that we did.
