We recently moved from Spalding (South Lincolnshire) to Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. The hard part of the move was choosing a removal company. There aren't that many reviews around - very few for companies based in South Lincs - and those that are tend to be about Pickfords.

So we got three quotes and ended up going with Cliffe's in Bourne.

The estimator was very pleasant and thorough and the quotation was sent through on time. Cliffe's weren't the cheapest of the quotes we had but I just got a better impression from them.

We booked the full packing service so, with the exception of some irreplaceable, sentimental objects, we left everything to the two chaps that turned up.

It has to be said, the two guys were brilliant. They hardly stopped all day and were extremely professional, polite and careful with our stuff.

The plan was to pack on Day One and deliver on Day Two. Packing took longer than expected and Cliffe's ended up sending another crew over at 5pm to give a hand (there was no extra charge for this and no sense that the job might have been left unfinished).

The following day, the van arrived at the new house before we did and the guys had already made a start unloading. With the packing service, they pack and load, but at the other end will just assemble furniture and put things into the equivalent rooms but you're left to unpack.

Consequently, unloading is a much quicker process and they were finished by 2pm.

Everything went without a hitch, nothing was damaged and the crew were brilliant. I would recommend Cliffes to anyone
