Old men dirty and rude, would not ever use them again

I don't know about carefulmovers I don't think they are the same company but I loved their service...

They lived up to their name as a careful removalist to me.

they were on time and did the job for a reasonable price.

Careful Movers (NOT). The warnings started when Careful Movers sales guy seemed careless and did not offer and details of move. for example how should I pre pack? Do I get any free boxes etc....Was going to use Chelmsford Removals but they were booked out (probably because they are a decent company).....Anyway, they told me on the phome pre booking to sign teh quote form and fax it. WARNING: THEY DID NOT MENTION THE SMALL BOX ON FORM THAT YOU MUST FILL IN TO BE INSURED ABOVE £50 PER ITEM!!!!!!!!!!! They turned up late and told me some excuse about a breakdown, they guys seemed polite but then they broke a £1,200 marble table! Afetr that they apologised and told me that it would come from their own personal pay. from there they were taking fag breaks every few minutes and the delivery took till 10pm!!!! Only me & partner of us to move home (no kids)! I called them on the day of breakage and sent forms off 1st class 2 days later (Monday).....I WAS THEN FOBBED OFF BY Careful Movers FOR 3 MONTHS AND NEVER CALLED BACK AS PROMISED. They tell me that the small box was not filled in and so THEY WILL NOT PAY OUT FOR MY BROKEN £1,200 TABLE!!!! NEVER GOT A WRITTEN APLOGY...As they are probably avoiding lyabillity. I have taken this to The National Guild of removers and Storers...useless in this case.....Now talking to Ombudsman......Then I guess on to court..................I WILL NEVER USE Careful Movers AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME AND WILL ADVISE ANYONE WHO READ THIS TO AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
