Stay Away From Mainstay
In my opinion, the other residents and I have suffered four years of misery dealing with Mainstay Residential. The residents of our block of flats applied to the LVT in 2010 for a determination of our issues. They decided it was not reasonable for them to make such high charges as part of the estate management. However they did also conclude that most of the individual items under the three service charge heads (apartment charges, car parking charges and estate charges) were not unreasonable and the leaseholders accepted that many of the charges were not excessive.
We have recently met with the Estate Manager to discuss our issues (February 2013). In my opinion appointing Mainstay as managing agent should be avoided. In my opinion, if you want an easy life, run the management of your flats yourself, its simpler than you might think.
Yes you should sack them and we are having same horror with this company and hidden ripped off they can't justify their expenditure . Mostly hire inexperienced staff and property managers are given huge portfolio to manage and they have no time to attend details . So called portal is useless and trying
Manage development over the phone . End of day developments are poorly manage and leaseholders are massively ripped off ! Avoid mainstay !!
Totally agree. We are Millers in St Neots. mainstay charged 63.8% of the charge in fees. They don't give breakdown of costs. Don't return calls or emails and now we are looking to sack them. Absolute shower.
why have all the other reviews of Mainstay been removed from this site it makes it look as if they are trying to hide something!
Which Block are you in? I current have a flat in Kilcredaun House. Which Blocks have been taken over?
Thanks
No, Miller Homes.
