After a good start, a disappointing end.

The lead agent failed to disclose full information in relation to the tenants' intentions, which resulted in our suffering a financial loss. The property manager's knowledge as to AST clauses was poor, and despite our provision of extensive guidance which caused us increased work, this was to no avail which resulted in our early termination of the services of Streets Ahead.

Further, after payment of the Streets Ahead Tenancy Agreement and its execution by the parties, we were advised by Streets Ahead that the agreement for which we were charged above average price contained errors and, as it subsequently transpired, was the wrong contract for the tenants' intention.

In addition, unauthorised deductions were taken from the rental monies and the issue of a statement of account was not forthcoming despite numerous requests.

Further, it now appears that Streets Ahead has lost keys to the property which will incur additional losses in replacement locks and keys.

Streets Ahead's strengths may lie in property sales, however, as letting agents and with letting commissions in the region of 9% plus, Streets Ahead demonstrated lack of value for money, lack of accountability and lack of AST knowledge. Sadly, from our experience, not an agent to be recommended for landlord assurance.
