This joke of an agency shouldn't even be considered as a last resort. They are rude, unhelpful, humiliating and provide little to no care for their clients. My window was broken throughout the entire year, with a massive crack and space between the window sill and ledge which was duct taped together. There were countless emails and phone calls to have this problem fixed but they would not attend to it. After attempting to fix the problem myself, getting my dad involved and anything I could do to get them to take me seriously, I became ill and had to move to my family home in London for weeks until the cold season passed as the black mould and bitter cold air (which showed fog as I breathed in my room) effected my physical and mental health as well as my job. This is just ONE example of poor customer care. Our deposits were with held for no reason at all until our dads got involved and threatened to make this a legal case. If they could b rated 1 star they would be. They negatively impacted my time in Manchester and I don't want the same to happen to you.

I was given great service by a cute young man who has serviced me very well he fixed everything I needed done and plus some I want to thanks! For sending him my way . :)

I found Sherlock Homes professional and easy to deal with. The agent we dealt with in particular was really quick to respond and very helpful. The tenant fees were a little steep but they were very upfront and honest and confirmed the total before I had to pat anything, so nothing was hidden. All in all a positive experience.

I am so happy that I chose to go with Sherlock. They have been professional from the outset. Nothing is to much trouble and they have a great "handy man/woman" team that are on tap to take out repairs. She has been really tried to make sure that repairs/replacement equipment takes places smoothly and makes sure that you are happy with anything that happens in the property. I am renting a flat from Sherlock but will be selling my Chorlton home very soon and I will hesitate to put it up with Sherlock.

I have used Sherlock Homes for well over 10 years on a number of rental properties and as a non resident landlord I have found them solid, trustworthy, and efficient and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

They tried to keep a ridiculous amount of my deposit for spurious reasons. Ithey wanted over £200. I went to the TDS complaints section and they were reduced to getting £60. It also took them 5 months and me going to the small claims to get my undisputed deposit back. Do not let them bully you. Make sure you take dated pictures of everything when you move in, report every little problem and keep a written record of everything.

When they want your money off you at first they are all sweetness and light.

Their true colours come out when you leave.

This is possible the worst estate agent I have ever used. They are rude, unreliable and incompetent. They take weeks to handle even the smallest of issues and when they do resolve an issue - which they rarely do - the standard to which they do it is extremely poor. I once went to the branch to discuss an issue - the branch opened later than advertised and then I was told she wasn't ready to discuss the issue as she needed to have her morning coffee.

When reporting problems with the flat they were only ever occasional resolved and if they were - the standard was so poor that they would break again soon after.

When leaving the property a woman who didn't know how to use a camera came around took pictures told me everything was fine and then two weeks later got charged for cleaning - when the flat had been left spotless.

When I first saw a studio flat from Sherlock I was really happy because it was my first time to live in London, however when I called for the studio flat, The employee asked for a £300 bribe! and when since I didnt see any other studio flats for a good price i ended up going to their office after paying over £350 of the feeses that the employee said I have to pay he then called me again and said he wants his money. To cut the long story short he employee started to threatened me that if I don't pay the money anything could happen. This agency is the worst agency to go to! they are horrible!! at the end of the day I didn't get the studio and they didn't refund me my money.

Strong attention to details and follow up on requests. I have the service to be very good and like the location of the business in Chorlton, Manchester. This suits my business well and happy to continue working with Sherlock Homes in the future.

This company is disgusting one of their agents 'ed' had ran away and stolen God knows how many people's money! Everyone at hat company and whoever else I have managed to speak to this past month seem to care more about 'finishing 15 minutes ago' and their agents being upset and going home in tears due to being shouted at by under stable angry students who have had their money stolen!! Now they don't seem interested in paying it back when I now have no where to move I to in September and am £800 down. Do NOT use this agency at all regardless of what you may think hey are in no way helpful I haven't spoken to a single person who has been helpful or not been more interested in them self!!!! Disgusting people.
