We moved into a rented property for 6 months from passion for property and when we moved in we found that is was extremely unclean. Mould growing up the wall in a bedroom, the shower was filthy with stains up the glass doors and black mould growing between the grouting. The oven had clearly not been cleaned at all with greasy burnt on food and was completely not what you wanted to cook in. When our contract ended we thoroughly cleaned the property which we left in a considerably better state than when we moved in. We gave the oven a brilliant clean which looked better then what we had moved in to. We got the Rug Doctor and cleaned all the carpets, the bathrooms were scrubbed clean including all the grouting with toothbrushes and the place was pristine. Unfortunately the letting agents decided that they still needed to dock money from our deposits as there was some dust found on the skirting boards which I had been dusted with soap and water and the washing machine drawer was apparently not clean. Apparently they needed the money to pay a cleaner? to clean what exactly?

Its a shame some people try to grab money at every opportunity that they can.

Having had issues that require attention, the agents are slow to respond, even don;t provide the written 24hr notice as required (detailed in the tenancy agreement). When i queried this, they ignore the email and do not respond. Even had an emergency at 18:30 on a Wednesday evening, the protocol was to leave a message (out of hours) as messages are constantly checked, even sent an email too confirming i had left a message. No one responded until the office opened the next day. I challenged the fact that no one is manning the 24 hr emergency number and to provide a number that will be answered to which my communicaton (unsurprisingly) was ignored - a response for which i still await.

They appear to be very professional when looking to rent out the property, friendly and cooperative, but once signed up, they are the complete opposite.

Passion for Property, Wow where to start. Had two properties with this company and both were dreadful experiences. The first was for 14 months and had a huge deposit dispute with the landlord wanting £800 for a cracked bath which his dodgy DIY raidator fell onto in the middle of the night (laughable now but not at the time). PFP were extremely slow and unresponsive during my whole rental and never helped with any queries or issues with the actual landlord. The second property was just as bad but managed by PFP. The property was apparently cleaned however when I moved in, had cracked walls, mould on the walls, missing lights and numerous faults. When I moved out they wanted a cleaning fee I did want to dispute as I felt I left it in the same, if not better condition than when I started. The emotional bullying was very unprofessional towards the end of the tennency. I was told they were 'very dissapointed' I wanted to go for a dispute for MY own money back and how 'dissapointing' it was after the care they provided to me as a customer for 'only' charging a half price fee of over £100 when I moved (why I had to pay anything to change house with the same company is beyond me). Overall the contact is unbelieveable, you call or email and either have no response or someone there unable to help as they have no idea what is going on and never get a call back from anyone who seems to know anything at all. The profressional attitude is disgusting and service is slow or non existent. Anyone thinking of house hunting in the Chester area, my advise is to be very careful and take every effort to avoid poor estate agencies whos main objective is to grab as much cash from you as possible.

I have had an awful experience with this company very unprofessional, struggled to get back my money and most of the time they just don't want to deal with your case. I would NEVER rent from them again.

The company were very unprofessional in dealing with the property search and paperwork. Firstly, When I went to view the property the gentleman who escorted me was obviously rushed and uninterested in my business, I liked the property and wanted to proceed and so I then asked where to go from there. The gentleman told me he would email me the paperwork, not take me to the office and go through it with me, Just email it through as soon as he got back to the office. 3 phone calls later I finally receive one piece of paperwork, not all of it.

So far I have made 6 phone calls to the office and not once has he answered the phone or have I been put through to the same gentleman who is supposed to be dealing with this agreement.

I am very disappointed with the service from this company.

I was doing a short term contract last year in Chester and came across this estate agent who was appeared cooperative & friendly.Because of the nature of my contractual work, I've to move around and never had any problem with any estate agent until I signed contracts with Passion For Property Ltd.

Things started going bad with my first call to them itself,there were things that need to be done to the house but got a blunt response by proprieter, he said I've to make direct contact with the landlord as they do not earn enough margin to spend time on this property. I was so shocked as I was paying £650 rent and believe it was decent enough.

Then someone at work told me about frightening experience they had, and their deposit was kept by this company. My worst nightmare came true when I've to part with mine as well, even after giving sufficient notice.

Its a shame that actions of few greedy & unprofessiona people bring a bad name to estate industry. I've lost money, have written this review just to make other people aware about this incidence so that they can take caution before signing up.

The landlords mobile number given to me was never reachable, and never got response back on email id. No one, either landlord or the estate agent, ever visited the property during the tenure of my stay, and presumably my deposit of £650 was gulped down.
