I was interested in renting at Southend with Pace . My friends in Southend warned me it is very bad agency, who rent had lots of difficulties , have no interest to tenant.

And I regretted - The agent who was dealing regarding property never called me back, at the reception always been told she is busy or she is not in office. Didn’t get response to some emails. At the end was agreed move day on 14th . September. Then got email at 1pm day before move in day saying sorry can’t move in as property needs to be cleaned. ( I know property was sitting empty nothing was done without tenant at least 3 weeks) I went to agency to explain my inconvenience. Member of staff agreed to refund my deposit £137 ( it is agency deposit so they hold of market for me to rent)

Few days after I contacted again I was told they changed they mind on refunding deposit now ..

So now I Will have to go through Obdusmen. Absolutely shocker . ! They have no respect to tenant. How can you tell new tenant in less then 24 hours Your move in day is changed! - earliest possible day 17th instead 14 th.. what if I had move out from previous property on 15th.. They didn’t ask about this .. No internet.. - They have lost very good tenant. I am full time working, with good reviews from previous landlords. Never delayed payment. I offered to refurbish this property in writing with new carpets redecorating walls .. And what I was giving back..? False promises. Could give me keys at the day I we agreed - Which puts me in trouble. They have no care respectfully say sorry and pay back £137. Shame.

I have been a tenant with Pace Plc for 5 years with the person I dealt with as my property manager. I have a fantastic relationship with her, she is always happy to sort things out for me and I never have to ask twice. I am totally satisfied with Pace Plc
