We are potential buyers, cash rich, itching to spend.

But this lot are useless, they promise the earth "we'll do this and that!" and delivery nothing!

You leave instruction "ie let me know when you know" - and get nothing.

You view a house - six weeks later they call back and ask you how it went!

You try to make an appointment to view a house stating "can do anytime this week" - 5 days later they get back and say next week!

You make an offer - they dont even let you know the outcome!

Oh yes I'm sure this is debatable, but guaranteed anything they put on the market is initially 15-20% overpriced! You dont even feel like you can making a fair offer, without insulting the property owners.

We purchased through Mortimers and, gosh, compared to the agent we sold through they appeared to do very little for their money. Need to realise that gone are the days when properties will sell themselves. Poor communication, poor post-offer follow up, in fact on one occasion we were not advised about any ongoing chain! Would never consider selling through them in future.
