Merrick Binch

As a landlord I've had nothing but fantastic service from Merrick Binch since 2009 more or less which was when they started up. Everything is done on time and they have a good selection of tradespersons on the books for if services or repairs are required. Friendly and professional and I've had a stress free service from day one

Owner not bothered about 'selling' properties, treats potential purchasers like they are all renters and out to get him, no respect, understanding or politeness.

Second owner and secretary hold the business up.

Cheap to sell with, but would not recommend to purchasers as they are not helpful.

I had rented one of their properties for over two years. As soon as a repair is required no one wants to speak. They say that they are looking into it. They aren't. They say they will phone you back. They don't. I have kept the property in wonderful condition and actually added value to it. However, they show no recognition of this and just communicate in a very condescending manner. I would advise that all stay well away from this company.

Iv have viewed many properties and had to pop into many estate agents had have allways been spoken to nicely and made to feel looked after .

This is the first time I felt the managers Wer so unprofessional at a estate agents. I was told by one manager over the phone in the morning we could view the property and if we liked it we could put a deposit on it and fill in the application form also that we were the first people to view . Well then when my partner went to view the property he was told a different version and he was made to feel that he was lyeing about the conversation I had with the manager in the morning also their was other people viewing at the same time my partner was spoken to rudley and was told he will be emailed a application form. That afternoon we recived no form so I called at 5.30 and some to another member of their team who was helpful and polite and sent me the application on line. I filled it in and dropped it to their office next morning Wer I apoached the same manager who had showed my partner around her approach to me was cold and short she took my form said the landlord will be looking at the forms we will be intouch . Next morning I have a very cold short voicemail left on my phone saying we didn't get the property basically , no offer of can we help you with another property etc etc just so rude never will use this estate agents again .

We had an excellent service, kept us informed throughout the process, sometimes on a daily basis. We were given clear easy to understand information before signing up and liked the way that the company screen potential buyers to ensure that there are no time wasters.

We would certainly use them again and have already recommended to others.

I found Merrick Binch to be very efficient, honest, approachable and trustworthy! We were kept well informed of every process and any problems were sorted immediately.

They sold our house in 4 weeks so we can't fault their determination to sell your property and fast.We would definitely recommend anyone looking to sell their property to consider Merrick Binch.

i was in one of their properties for nearly 2 yrs. Terrible letting agents. Lack basic admin skills to do their jobs. At one point I had to turn off the gas, because of a lack of gas safety certificate owing to their incompetence at arranging a new certificate. Was left without a washing machine (provided with property) for 6 months. An internal door came off it's hinges due to rotten wood 2 months before I moved out - they couldn't be arsed to fix it whilst I was there, and once I moved out they tried to claim part of the deposit back to repair it!

All in all, Merrick Binch = cheeky buggers

i ve moved three times in coventry, the other years I was lucky enough to be ignored by merrick binch, as I was keep calling for houses they had and when they picked up they said that they will call back and never did! last year we got unlucky and booked a house throught them. We were very dissappointed as they never appeared when we had a problem they were very rude and not happy to help. when we moved out they charged us crazy money for deposit!!!

We recently sold a property through Merrick Binch. They were very quick to come round and value but were awful at any follow calls after viweings. The only time we got information was when we chased it up. I found the office staff to be very polite but not very helpful. When we did get a purchaser - Actually 2 one from another estate agent. We then got into a bidding war. This was settled but we have since found out that all of Merrick Binch's statements and promises regarding the purchasers were complete fabricated. Happy to have sold else but wish we had gone elsewhere for a better service!

WE ARE VERY PLEASED. From past experience over many years, with selling/buying via other Agents we have experienced very poor service, no call-backs, the list is endless. Merrick Binch have been knowledgeable and 'of their word' with every aspect therefore any chance we get, we would definitely recommend them again. Regards, Anita & Matthew.
