Being from Leicester (so a considerable distance away from Plymouth) the search for accommodation wasn't easy as I was unable to view the houses before I signed a contract. However with Magee properties it was a completely different story as they were very understanding of my situation and did their best to answer all of my questions and worries with the more than willing attitude to send pictures and floor plans of the house.

Magee properties were extremely helpful with the process of signing the contract and even more so after, with meetings to ensure everything was running smoothly in the house (not just with the house but with the morale in the house, making sure there were no disputes that were not internally solvable.

Whilst speaking to other students about accommodation, they seem to pretty much all have awful landlords that are not understanding in anyway. However I was able to tell a different story, that had no faults or complaints with our accommodation as they were more than willing to replace kitchen appliances that had broke. Microwave, dryer and washing machine were all replaced within the academic year and it took the landlord no more than a week to sort out new appliances and usually was within the day that we had requested new appliances that we had a response.

At the end of the tenancy the big black cloud of whether we will get our deposit back hovered over each of our heads. However Magee properties were very fair and no disputes were raised with regards to unfair charges or 'hidden charges'.
