Coldwell Banker Mortgage

Agent and staff were unresponsive to voicemails, emails, messages on the portal. Had to call many times to get them on the phone. They showed no interest in obtaining me or servicing me as a client. Website by far the worst of 8 different mortgage company websites I have used. My loan still hasn't been closed, we'll see how the last few days before closing go.

Didn't file paperwork properly, didn't respond to emails sent to a team of people, tried to push our settlement date back 38 hours prior, continued sending paperwork to our old address even though WE HAD A LOAN WITH THEM AT OUR NEW ADDRESS. They were unresponsive, unprofessional and careless throughout the entire process. If they offered rates 1% lower than everyone else, I would still never ever ever use them again for a home loan. Shameful, pathetic, unprofessional are just a few words to describe the loan process from beginning to end with Coldwell Banker Home Loans.

Our closing has been pushed back 3 times now because they can't get their stuff together! Additional fees were charged in an attempt to close on time, but that didn't happen. This is beyond ridiculous and we still haven't closed.

Do yourself a favor and go ,No run to any other Lender. Rude and very unprofessional.

Worst experience ever. 8 months later and still no statements. Web service has dead links EVERYWHERE. Can't get a hold of anyone who ACTUALLY works at the company. Doing everything we can to refi elsewhere. Trust me, DO NOT USE this company!!!! it is the WORST. Would give a 0 star rating if it was allowed.

I had 7 loans with Coldwell Banker and evrything was fine for about 5 years until I tried to pay them off. The website for accepting payments is usually down but I used it to pay off 5 of my loans. For the other two I tried daily for a few weeks then decided to send them checks. After 3 weeks the checks were never cashed and of course this is delaying the sale of the properties. I had to put stop payments on the checks and hope the website payment will work this time. When I told them I put a stop payment on the checks they informed me that they will now charge me return items fees.

Hard to beleive that I'm just trying to pay them $$ and I can't get it into the system.

Do yourself a favor and shop for another Mtg company.

I'm so angry I can barely even think. I have been a Coldwell Banker Mortgage customer for 7.5 years, and just refinanced with them, even though I had the same offer from another company, because I thought it would be easier sine I already held a loan with them. HOWEVER, they auto-drafted my old mortgage payment after the mortgage was closed. They were not authorized to do this (duh), but did it anyway. Though they fully agree that they owe me $1700, I still have yet to receive it 22 days later. They said it would be here 10 days ago. I called to see what was the matter (17 days into this mess), and they couldn't even tell me when I'd get the check. I was supposed to receive a call with an update between 2and 3 PM today, and of course, no call. It's 4PM and I called to see what's going on, and they guy's on his lunch break and may or may not get back to me. Merry Christmas. Then, despite the fact that I sent in paperwork for direct debit 6 weeks ago for the new payment due in two weeks, they screwed that all up and I have to send a check. They are completely unable to fix things that they screw up. Oh! Maybe the best part is that my Loan Processor sends emails to me, but to the wrong email address because she spells my name wrong. It goes to someone I don't even know (who is nice enough to forward them to me) in a different state. Nice privacy!!!

I would give this a zero star rating, but you have to do a minimum of one.

Horrible experience. Coldwell Banker Home Loans is impossible to do business with - they are unresponsive and never answer their phone or respond to email. Good luck to you if you go with this company to do your mortgage. Good luck to actually getting to closing! So not worth it.

Poor service, No follow through

For a customer in the miltary you would think Coldwell Banker would uphold their motto to help military families.

As a realtor I am helping a person with a short sale. It is unheard of to not get a response, be able to get a return call, e-mail, something. This has been ongoing for almost 6 months and no answer, favorable or non-favorable. There are guidelines for the Home Affordable Foreclosure Program for the mortgage servicer to respond within 10 business days. Unfortunately this does not apply to FHA or VA loans.

Be cautious in selecting a mortgage provider.
