Who Are They?
Never heard of this place before, not even tried to get a loan, rinsed my bank account out TWICE and now im left in a lot of debt after i could not pay my direct debits and my rent and bills! facing being homeless after such a big loss ! DO NOT USE!
i emailed them IMMEDIATLY after such charges, claimed i made a loan 21 days prior and they no longer can do anything, now refusing to pay me back and now not even responding to my emails.
very upset and angry.
need a loan? go to a WELL KNOWN company!
Not To Be Trusted

100% Underhand Tactics
I made a payday loan application which was turned down through another lender. Straight afterwards a received a text with a link which took me to another page to complete my application. Most of my details where already filled in but there was the addition of a section that asks for card details. I filled it in and as I was about to submit noticed that I would be charged £50 so decided not to continue. Since then I have received numerous texts from numerous loan companies who all appear to have my details even though I was not the one to provide this information to them. Bear in my mind I selected to not have my details passed to other companies. In addition to this I am having problems since they went ahead and debited £49.99 I just checked my bank account and a further £68 has been debited by another loan company I have never heard of who I assume received my details from People loans breaching my rights under the Data Protection Act. Waiting to talk to the bank but not feeling hopeful. Left me in overdraft. So lost almost £120 and no loan
The company that debited the £68 charge are called loans now. I believe them to be one and the same as loans now.
I Did Not Sign Up To This Broker. I Applied To Wha
I did not sign up to this broker. I applied to what I thought was a direct lender (Wageme) and was APPROVED with a pop up window from peoplesloan.co.uk. When I saw they charged a brokers fee, I did not press "Submit" but immediately left the webpage. Since then I have been bombarded by them via text messages to complete my application, but even though I have not done this, they have debited my account time after time with 1.99 withdrawals, resulting in an overdraft and bank charges of £60.They tried to take the whole £4, or whatever in one go but that was declined because of insuffiecient funds, hence the load of £1.99's. After bombarding them with emails and then, finally, on the phone, they refunded the amounts they took from my account but I am still left with the bank charges. I have reported them to Action Fraud and have a crime number. My bank has cancelled my debit card and put a block on this company taking any more of my money. I contacted Wageme also, but not any response from them.
Similar problem here. Now I'm out £120
Q&A
Has anyone had a refund from this company? I have had 2 fees taken out of my account. One for £67.99 and £49.99. I have sent an email and wrote a letter to them. Even tried their phone number, which is just ringing out. No contact with them. Keep getting bombarded with emails from other companies that are related. The main company behind it is Application Link Ltd. How many fees do they try and take and how can I stop them from taking money from my account?
Yes I had a refund of the £67.99 but still waiting for a refund of the £49.99 payment. All correspondence has been ignored so forwarded my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service with all my evidence just waiting on a response.
I have had £49.99 taken out my bank twice. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I had this same problem but second payment was £67.99 which I got back. Still fighting for a refund of the first £49.99 which I asked for within 14 days as per their own refund policy and have not received a response. After no response to numerous emails and complaints I have forwarded my concerns and evidence of correspondences to the Financial Ombudsman Service and I am waiting for a response. If you are still within the 14 day policy ask for an immediate refund but make sure you do this by logging onto the site as a member (you should have login details) as this is the only way you will receive an automated response to your request and also send an email, again as proof that you contacted with them within the 14 days. This company have tried some very sneaky tactics with me and none of it has gone over my head. A fraudulent company that misleads in the way it represents itself making money out of people who already are faced with difficult times.
I have been accepted for one their loans but note there is charge of £49.99. My question is if I decide not to proceed with the loan even though I not have signed any binding contract or provided my bank details with the company, do they still have the right to request payment fee stated above?
I would advice you do not get into anything with People loan. I was charged the £49. 99 even though I didn't use the service. I have tried to contact them since 9 July sent numerous emails for refund and just for someone to contact me to discuss the matter and have not had that acknowledge. The only thing I received was an email telling me that a refund request I had submitted on 29th July was sent too late so my request for a refund was denied. I did however email them and filled in a refund request form on the website on the 20/21 July respectively and did not receive a response. Beware they are not a loan company. When you sign up you will be bombarded with numerous texts from 'so called' loan companies telling you have been approved for a loan asking you to contact them to complete the loan. Do not fall for it. As people loan simply forward your details on to these companies. Which is wrong. Another company they sent my info charged £67.88 to my card based on what they has received. I found myself in a very desperate situation hence the reason I was looking for a short term loan. Instead I lost out on £120 and got no loan.
