Everything Was Fine Until I Tried To Pay Off My Lo
Everything was fine until I tried to pay off my loan before the end of the term. Their customer service was horrible - transferring me between about six different representatives, all of whom asked the exact same questions only to say "I'm sorry I can't help you, let me transfer you to someone who can." When I finally reached someone who was able to access and pull up my account, she wouldn't give me ANY information because my husband's name was on the account, not mine - should I have called back with a lower voice? I had all of the required information, even knew the amount owing within about a $10 margin of error, just needed the exact amount so I could pay them. After 30 minutes of my time wasted, nothing. The entire process was a circus, that needlessly threw me around between reps. Awful experience.

I Needed Help With My Account And Received The Run
I needed help with my account and received the run around. I called for pay off amount. I paid the amount and then Dell charged interest on that and closed my account as delinquent. I paid off $2000 and the closed it as delinquent over $14 that shouldn't have been charged. I thought everything was settle because they waived the $14. Then a year later I try to make a purchase and I am informed that my account was closed due to it's delinquent status. I did not know this because the Dell Preferred account info on the Dell website and the Preferred account info on the Dell Financial website are not linked, because they are actually two separate companies. This makes no sense. I can pay my account from the Dell site but it doesn't accurately reflect my actual account? The Dell site says I still have an open and active account, but now I know (after 45 minutes on the phone with someone I could barely understand because they talked at the speed of light and had a thick accent) that my account was actually closed a year ago. My Computer is great but my recommendation is DO NOT USE DELL FINANCIAL to purchase your computer.
