Welcome Payday is *not* (and I will stress once more: IS NOT) a direct lender. They claim to have "1 Hour Funding", which I highly doubt, as they are not the ones making the decision whether to extend a loan to you or not in the first place. In their FAQs they answer the question 'How long will it take to get the loan?' by saying "From start to finish, your payday loan application will take around 10 minutes and you’ll know immediately whether you have been accepted or not. If you are accepted the payday loan will be paid directly into your bank or building society account via Faster Payments*." There must be a small print/disclaimer inserted below after the word "Faster Payments", yet guess what....no small print/disclaimer could be found on that particular webpage. In my view, this is terribly unprofessional, and so I wouldn't go with a company which neglects to properly insert disclaimers at their webpage below. Moreover, when you go to the 'Charges' section on their webpage, they say 'Charges are completely transparent, infact [sic] this may equate to much less than an unauthorised overdraft'.' This is the first time I've seen someone (yet alone a business soliciting consumers) writing the phrase 'in fact' as 'infact' in English language. Terribly unprofessional. And if they can't even get their spelling right on their website, then how could I, as a consumer, trust them? What if they commit further blunders, not in relation to grammar points, but in relation to my application, and their blunders would somehow affect me negatively? Personally, I wouldn't go for this company, but if you do - do so at your own peril.
